Is anyone sitting out of their cocktail hour? FH wants to go in and I want to stay in the bridal suite. Anyone else sitting in the bridal suite?

Re: Cocktail hour
I did this for mine. I actually had fun hanging out in there with my bridal party, but some of them were in and out of there and going back and forth to the CH room. DH went into the CH room for a little bit.
Its up to you, if you want to stay in the bridal suite then do it. But make sure inside the reception you and your fh go to every table and make sure to do it quickly and not spend all night doing so. Dh would stop and talk to people forever and i had to tell him to finally stop, he would sit and try and have long conversations

Re: Cocktail hour
We took pictures before the ceremony so we wouldn't miss the CH. We were there for most of it and said hello to all of our guests there. I'm glad we went, but also our bridal suite was a bit small.

Re: Cocktail hour
We are not going to the cocktail hour...we're going to take that time to spend time with each other in the bridal suite relaxing after pics.

Re: Cocktail hour
We actually decided to add a half hour to the cocktail hour so that we can have some time to spend time with our party, do some family pictures and still get stop by the cocktail hour for a little while.

Re: Cocktail hour
I refused to miss mine. I only get one wedding and it was 1/5 of the reception. I didn't want to miss a single second of my wedding.

Re: Cocktail hour
We are also doing half and half. The first half we are going to be in the bridal suite because I want to eat and relax (my RH sets up food in there). I don't want to worry about having to say hello to people as I am stuffing my face, lol. After we eat we will then go out and say hello and socialize!

Re: Cocktail hour
We were able to go to our entire CH and I wouldn't have had it any other way. This is where we were able to say hello to most of our guests so we didn't have to spend the 'partying' time doing it! I was so glad to get that all out of the way so we could just dance and enjoy our reception!

Re: Cocktail hour
I will spend 10 min alone with FH and then go to cocktail. I don't want to miss a second of my wedding , taking all pictures before the ceremony

Re: Cocktail hour
I'll probably take a little break with FH to take in the moment, but then go to the CH. That part has the best food!

Re: Cocktail hour
We are not going to the cocktail hour. After the ceremony, we will socialize with our guests for about 20-30 minutes. We leave and change, get pictures and then make our grand entrance as Mr. and Mrs. at the reception!
There's a 30-45 minute break before the cocktail hour begins. Not sure how to handle guests who don't have a room at the hotel. Any suggestions?
