I know many of you have said that you want to make it to your cocktail hour, but will you walk around and talk to people or just stay in the bridal room (I'm not sure what that room is called lol) Just wondering what everyone is doing.
We are def going to and enjoying CH to the max! I want to mingle as much as possible, eat, and enjoy!
we went to our cocktail hour to see people and say hello so that it was easier for the reception. We didn't stay the whole cocktail hour...but it was definitely a big help for us!

You can still be formally announced into the reception even if you are at the cocktail hour. thats what we are doing because we don't want to miss one second of the wedding plus we have plenty of time after the church to take pics so we don't want to be sitting around doing nothing we wanna eat and party!
We are going to the CH to start the hellos. We will be leaving it after about 45 minutes though then going up to the bridal suite to get ready for our grand entrance.

there is a massive cheese plate at my CH....i will be there
We are going into the bridal room for about 20 minutes to just catch our breath and eat some food that the caterer is going to have waiting for us. Then we will join the CH for at least 30 minutes. Ideally we would like to do some extra pics with relatives during this time too.
Honestly I will be there but not in the CH. We will be on the 2nd floor hanging out in the 4 bridal suites we have. I wanted to have a calm before the storm. I wanted to be able to spend some time with 'DH' and the BP before all the chaos begins. I think it will be nice to have that little intimate party before the big party! Also I want to be announced in. I actually look forward to hanging out upstairs while all the guests enjoy themselves at the CH.

We're having a light show for our grand entrance.....so we 're going to stay in the bridal suite for ch. We will probably be taking photos on the grounds also
I plan to use that time to greet my guests...hopefully it will allow me to cut some of the time I will have to do that during the reception...as of right now our guest list is 282...that is a lot of people to say hello to!
We are going to our CH. We're seeing eachother before the ceremony and having our immediate family come early to get pics out of the way.

personally going to our CH was the best thing for 'us' we like to mingle. BUT what I did not like was after we were married we went to the bridal suite and everyone came in after us. I would give yourselves some time alone if you get married at a hall. Otherwise going to CH makes it easier to say thank you and hello to all with out having to wonder around endlessly at the reception.
