My Venue only pipes in their own classical music. Otherwise we can bring an ipod or CD for them to play. What did you do / plan on doing for your cocktail hour?
I am trying to find a good CD that will last over an hour long that has some good music on it. I feel more comfy doing that then lending them my ipod and having to worry about that.
What do you all think? What have you done or decided to do?

i have a band playing for the reception so they are giving us 3pieces from the band to play at cocktail hour. I think we have a piano player and 2 horns.

Why don't you make your own cocktail hour music playlist and burn it onto a CD? That way you don't lose anything and you still get the music you want played.

we arent even having music at our cocktail hour...and the past two weddings i went to did not have music being played either so dont stress

this---- i believe it will be a piano, a sax, and guitar? hmmm i forgot lol but 3 band members and scattered throughout different areas of the cocktail hour

The keyboardist from our band is playing for CH. However, you can always put together some lighter music from iTunes to create your own mix CD for the CH.

we are having hte DJ play some music in background.. if my RH did classical I prob would opt for that because its so loud with people talking I didn't want to spend the extra money on something big.
