Cocktail hour question

I'm still up in the air about if I will attend my own cocktail hour. I realize I'll be missing stuff, but I kind of wanna make my grand entrance at the reception.

What are you girls doing?

Is it weird if I don't attend and FH does?

IDK..I told her she was crazy...I want to enjoy and remember every second of that day..plus I think we can mingle more (that is the point of a CH)

I never understood why so many couples miss it. I am DEF going to make ours. We'll still make the grand entrance aftwerwards... we all will....to formally introduce everyone. Some of the people already saw you both at the ceremony...so it isn't a total reveal.
No offense... I just can't imagine not attending any part of my wedding - that I paid for.... who else is going to know if the RH sets out the right food, etc. And really...they have some of the best food at CH. Lol... I wanted to just have CH and VH and do nothing but dance in between....lol. FH thinks its a great idea too, but we couldn't.

I think we have decided to go to the CH, I want that grand entrance but I want to get all my hellos and thank yous out of the way.

We are going to ours. We get a private one for us and the BP but I wamt to greet everyone there so I can have fun at the reception and not feel obligated to make it to everyones table.

I plan on changing my dress right before the grand entrance so I will still have that wow factor!

We love cocktail hour food, and we are both attending the cocktail hour after a few minutes alone in the bridal suite.

I don't think it's weird if just your FH goes.

We are attending our CH. We have a martini bar and jazz ensemble and i do not want to miss that.

I totally agree. The more you mingle then the more you can relax later and not worry about saying hello to everyone

Bahaha this makes me laugh bc my food loving FH is insisting on going and I dont want to for the same as you, the grand entrance. Plus I'm having my hair put up during that time. So, I just plan on sitting in the bridal suite getting food brought to me with my hair getting done and FH coming in and out. I may make him stay in there with me for the last 20 minutes of CH before we go into the reception together. Go with whatever you feel, nothing is right or wrong, just what you prefer

I wont be going to it. I want to take the time to relax and send some time with my fh and bridal party in the suite. I always imagined just eating and relaxing and taking as much in as possible.
