I'm still up in the air about if I will attend my own cocktail hour. I realize I'll be missing stuff, but I kind of wanna make my grand entrance at the reception.
What are you girls doing?
Is it weird if I don't attend and FH does?

We will be at our CH and have a grand entrance in the ballroom! It's our day we're doing it how we want it!!

FH and I will be taking pics during that time sicne we wont be seing each other before the ceremony.

FH and I really want to be able to enjoy all parts of the wedding! so we are going to try to sch it out that we will in deed be attending the CH...even if it isnt the entire time!

I want to attend my CH, but FH does not want to. He wants to make a grand entrance. I think we could get a lot of pictures with family members out of the way during the CH if we attend it, so that, we can enjoy our actual reception without people coming up to us while we're trying to eat dinner asking to take pictures.
I think it may be a little weird if your FH attends the CH without you. The day is about both of you and it looks bad if he's at the CH and you're not. That's just my opinion.

We will, though some of the hour will be used for pictures. We're both vegetarians and the wedding is a vegetarian affair, so we COMPLETELY intend to get our butts to the CH and be able to eat WHATEVER WE WANT, which we can rarely do at other weddings. (We always have a lot of choices at other weddings, but knowing that it's all veggie and that we'll have no limitations has us a little too excited)
I love food.
And now, I'm seriously hungry!

FH & I are absolutely attending our CH. We want all the yummy food
No matter when and where you make your entrance, it will be grand because everyone is going to be so excited to see you. Plus you can still do a grand entrance into the reception room, and it will be just as beautiful as if no one had seen you at the CH.

My friend stayed in the bridal suite during her cocktail hour and her DH did come out for some of it, it did work for them. I really was all about the grand entrance at first but im over it now i want to mingle with everyone and get some food in if possible to make the actually receptopn less stressful and rushed.
