I've had second thoughts here & there because of thinking about the family I'm marrying into.

My FMIL makes Jane Fonda in 'Monster In Law' look like a faery godmother.

But I love him so much that I'd rather be with him & put up with her on ocassion rather than be without him

We have so much in common when it comes to this stuff! I love FH so much...but I wonder how I will deal with a lifetime of his family!!!

Re: Cold Feet

i've never had a single second thought to this marriage. Even when it looked like we weren't going to get the 'wedding reception' a few months ago, the only thing that got me thru was knowing that no matter what - by December 27th i WILL be his wife! Luckily things fell together and now i get him AND the party!

But I do agree with what amandah75 said earlier. Marriage IS work and it's not something to take lightly. My FH comes with some 'baggage' also that's taken some getting used to. When we first started dating, THAT'S when all my second guessing began. But by this point, after coming this far and being this much in love with him, i am fully confident that he's the one for me. Nobody could ever compare. I can't wait to begin our lives together!

I answered yes.. cause I do get cold feet/ anxiety at least once a week!.. this doesn't concern me though considering I second quess everything I plan or do. It's def about the wedding itself not the marriage (except when he leaves his left over cereal in the sink)

HAHA I guess I'd take my comment back only when he makes tuna and doesn't clean out the sink well ewwwww

I TOTALLY understand!!

LOL. I always make comments to him about having to live with a BOY the rest of my life.
(I come from a family of ALL GIRLS so this is new to me) hehe

Thank God you posted this b/c I have had high anxiety for about a week and a half now. I think it's because we are 6 mths before now, and it cause some arguements this week. I just needed reassurance that I am not the only one having second thoughts, and it is normal because some girls say they never had a second thought EVER and I can't understand it. this is one of the biggest things we will do in our whole life.

I don't think anything is wrong with having second thoughts. It's healthy to think about one of the biggest decisions you will ever make. Its scary but wonderful at the same time.

There is pros & cons in every relationship and weighing it all out in deep thought is a good thing.

Everyone gets cold feet in one form or another I think.

First time around: YES, YES, & YES....in the end...I called it off about 2 week before...HARDEST decision I ever made in my life & the BEST decision I ever made.
Second time around - NO DOUBT, NO QUESTION...BEST decision I'll ever make

I have not had one doubt about FH. I know that we were absolutely made for each other. Last time I wish I had listened to that inner voice because it would have saved me a lot of aggravation, disappointment and legal fees. Divorce is very, very messy and painful. more painful than it is to end an engagement that may just not be the perfect fit.

I know I second guess the whole wedding thing at least once a week. I am not the happy planning bride like I thought I would be. I think I tend to stress myself out though b/c I second guess myself all the time. (just look at my posts on my hair and makeup trials ) I have second guessed getting married because I believe it is once (for me) and I don't want to make the wrong decision. I get over it quick when I lay next to FH in bed and stare at him and realize he is the only man that could or would put up with my BS!!!!

LOLLOL!!!!!!! im the same way....

My friend is getting married in one month and we were just talking about this last night. This is one of the biggest decision and change you will make in you life. As exciting as it is its a little nerve wracking....not only are you taking a big step, you are also running around planning this party for however many people you are invinting. It is only normal to have some reservations and anxiety.....but as long as you know its just that, you're fine. My other friend said she felt that way till she saw him standing at the end of the isle that day......
