HI everyone, my name is Nicole, and my Fh is Carlos we live in ct and we met in college.. carlos propsed to me in NYC at rockefellar center on 12/13/05 it was sooo romantic and exciting

I have been posting for a while now i guess, but i dont think i actually knew peoples names and info sooo..i hope to get to know everyone better over the next year and 3 months of my engagement! congrats to all 06 brides and welcome to the new 06 and 07 brides

Hi All,

My name is Kerri and my FH is Michael. He had planned an elaborate engagement scenario... only to chicken out in the end...

He proposed in his living room of his apartment, since he couldn't wait for our anniversary to do it. I didn't get the one knee treatment.. he sat on the footstool to his chair!

I'm glad i'm not the only who felt a little cheated on the engagement scenario.. but i can appreciate that he was nervous doing it.

Currently I'm an accountant with E&Y in Virginia/DC area. He's a Marine in the Marine Corps.

We've planned the reception hall (signing on Saturday!!!!!!) and are working on a ceremony location and getting ready for the e-party this Memorial Day weekend!

My name is Anne-Marie and my FH is Andrew. We met 9 years ago in a cafe in Paris - we were both 16. He is British and went back to England and I came back to America. We stayed in touch via e-mail and the occasional phone conversation 2 years ago I went to England for an internship and my plans fell through so I called him up to ask to crash at his place for a few days - and wound up staying there for the duration of my time there.

He proposed on November 26th in Birmingham, England by a church in the city center. He is a CEO in his own company- a musical intrument business - and had champagne and violins playing by this church.

We are getting married in August 2006.

Hi! my name is Nancy and FH is Michael. We got engaged on Feb 13, 2004 at The View Restaurant atop the Marriott in NYC. We were dating for eleven months before he proposed. I am a sixth grade teacher and he is a senior accountant at GMAC.

We will be getting married July 3, 2006 at the Crescent Beah Club.

Better late than never....

I'm Stef and FH's name is Michael. We met on lavalife.com on March 7, 2003 and we were engaged on October 8, 2004. For our engagement he had planned to surprise me with a wonderful date on Saturday night. Dinner at a fancy restaurant and our favorite drive on Ocean Pwky to propose under the stars on the beach. He picked up the e-ring on Friday and drove straight to my office to propose in my cube. He couldn't wait. He's too cute - he can't keep a surprise. He had to go to work afterward and I went back to my office (I can't say I worked much).

He has two beautiful daughters from a previous marriage whom I love very much. Although they are 13 and 11 and love to test my patience. FH is a Suffolk County Corrections Officer and a Part-time DJ for In The Mood and I am a Human Resources Compensation Analyst for an electronics distributer and a part-time candle consultant.

We are planning a March 11, 2006 wedding - the three year anniverary of our second date.

My name is Michelle and my FH's name is Rocco. We met online but oddly I was seeing his cousin (it was just one date) but everyone that is online and you meet someone that is related. It was Fate! We talked about getting engaged but I didn't know when it would happen. We were engaged on November 08, 2005. He took me out for a wonderful dinner and surprised me. We have been together for almost 2 years when we got engaged. I work at a bank and work in retail too oh and I sell avon too (I can't forget that)lol. FH owns his own business Landscaping.
We are getting married at Villa Lombardi's on
June 09, 2006.
I still can't believe I am getting married.

Hi all! I've posted here a bit, but never introduced myself.

My name is Beth, my FH is John. We've been dating a little over 6 years (living together for 3), and he proposed November 6th, 2005. I went with him to pick the ring, but I was hoping for a surprise as to when he would give it to me. Unfortunately, I heard on the answering machine when the ring would be ready from the jewelers! But, he bought me beautiful roses, said sweet things, and got down on one knee.

So far we are getting married June 17, 2006 at Jericho Terrace. Sherwood Triart is our photographer/videographer, and Body Rock is our DJ. We have yet to find an officiant, and that will be next. But, we do have a tentative guest list, and our bridal party. So we are not doing too badly.

We're both grad students at the University of Maryland. FH is probably getting his PhD in about a year and a half. Me, I may never get it if I keep looking on LIweddings!! Its so addicting, and I find that if I'm working at the computer I check it all the time! Well, that's all for now. I'm glad to hear about all of you, and I hope that we can all help each other get through the craziness of wedding planning

I've also been posting but never introduced myself!!! My name is Andreia, I got engaged on 12/23/04 and planning a wedding at Eastwind on 5/21/06 and another wedding in Portugal 5/27/06. It'a a lot of planning....but I think I'll survive it!!!

Hiya!!! I've been posting here for awhile but never knew about this thread to introduce myself. As you can probably guess my name is Cindy and my FI is Kevin.

We were engaged on November 25, 2004 at the Thanksgiving Day parade in NYC. Down on one knee in front of Starbucks!! We moved in together on January 8, 2005 and things are going great!

We're planning a wedding on June 10, 2006 at Stonebridge Country Club. Kevin and I work together at a medical supply manufacturer which is where we met, right now we're looking forward to playing on our co-ed softball team together!!!
