I'm Jenn, student, theatre major Doug writes programs that support the traders at a major FI (can you tell I have no clue?).
Got engaged almost a year ago on 1/10/04. He proposed just after the spectromagic parade and just before the fireworks in front of Cinderella's castle at our favorite place in the whole world (aside from each other's arms), Walt Disney World. We're happy to have photographic evidence of the proposal (see profile pic).
We've been together for 5.5 years. So far we've booked our hall, North Ritz Club, next steps are to work on the ceremony and officiants (interfaith), photographer and to slim down enough to try on some gowns!!!

I'm a manager for an internet bank called Everbank. Mike (myFH) is a videographer.
We've been together 9 years, and we got engaged 8/31/04. he didn't get down on one knee, it was kind of a casual open the box and no words kind of thing...

We have been dating for 5 1/2 years & got engaged on Labor Day September 6, 2004 on his boat at sunset in the Great South Bay.
We are getting married at St. Matthew's Church & the reception is at John Anthonys on the water on July 14, 2006. We Love the Water!
I work in Bay Shore school district as a School Psychologist. Kevin is a high school business teacher at Elmont High School & the head varisty wrestling coach for Hicksville High School.

Hi, I'm Nicole.
John and I got engaged December 9, 2003 in NYC. We have our own house in Eastern Suffolk. We've been together since December 1999 and did the long distance thing while I was in college for 4 years in NC. We've known each other since 1989.
We have the hall, Church, photographer/videographer, DJ and florist. I have ordered my dress, and started picking up things for BM gifts.
As you can see, I like to plan ahead

my name is kim and fh's name is sal. we both grew up in hicksville and both attended hicksville high school. i graduate class of 2002 and he graduated class of 1998. we have been dating for for years. we got engaged on 2/2/03, at my fh's office at his job. our wedding date is april 8,2006. i work for CVS Pharmacy's and he works for a dental & medical company. so far we have booked our hall at jericho terrace and we have booked the church which is St. Killian's in Farmingdale.

Hi everyone! My name is Hollie and my FH's name is John. We got engaged on November 27, 2004. The proposal was a complete surprise. We have been together for over 2 years and have recently faced a lot of hardship. My FH was recently diagnosed with cancer but he seems to be pulling through! We have not booked anything yet! I have a lot of ideas, but haven't been able to solidify anything yet because of my FH's condition. We are thinking of having our recpetion at Milleridge Inn on January 15, 2006. Actually, this is pretty much the date we set. Now we just have to go visit. I would love to hear any suggestions of reasonable, nice locations.
Both my FH and I are social workers. We work in an outpatient mental health clinic in Far Rockaway, Queens. We actually met as students doing our internship here.

My name is Gennie and my FH is Anthony. We have been together for 5 years and got engaged on September 6, 2004.
We currently live in upstate New York, but he is originally from NYC and I am originally from San Francisco.
We are leaning towards a July 2006 wedding, but are going round and round about where we will have the wedding. California (San Francisco or Lake Tahoe).. or New York City?
I know it would be beautiful in New York (we are looking at Water's Edge in Long Island City) but my heart wants it near my hometown! What would you do?
I hope to get to know everyone a little better in these upcoming months!!

So far we booked Body Rock DJ and thats really it, oh and the florist, which is Joey's friend who is the owner, I will have to get back to what name it is, its a big one in LI, naturally my fiance doesn't know...He did an Oheka Castle wedding we rencently went to in September and they were AMAZING!!! Looked like Presont Bailey came in... Congrats to all out there, we can finally start counting down. I'm getting my invitations done by www.ineedinvitations.com, and some guest favors by www.ineedfavors.com, they are cheap and the owner is excellent, getting my save the date cards there also... thats whats done so far... How do people feel about cigar rollers at the reception......tacky or cool? My FH likes his cigars at special occasions and I thought it would be nice to have one come in for him as a surprise... let me know

I'm Michele and FH is Anthony. We got engaged in Florida on the beach on August 19,. 2004 after going out for 10 months. He did the whole 'down on one knee' thing and it was soooo beautiful!
I'm so glad we have our own board now and I really can't wait to meet you guys at the WOTY! You all seem like such nice people and have really given me such good advice!

It was destiny!! I knew I picked the right hall!! LOL, I can't wait to tell my FH, he's going to be like 'How the hell do you know that?' he thinks I'm crazy enough when I started on this website!!! Well you definately picked a great date and hall if I do say so myself...
I agree...I told FH yesterday that there was another bride on the website getting married same day same hall and he made fun of me and said 'now, you have plenty of time to share notes and become buddies!'
I agree that you made an excellent choice with the date & hall as well!!
We will have to chat about our estimates from FH...maybe we can double team them and lower our prices

My name is Kathleen and my FI proposed to be at EAB Plaza under the big Christmas tree on December 17, 2004. I was shocked and soooooooo happy! He told me we were supposed to be meeting his parents there because it was his Mom's b-day. He said I jumped back like 10 feet when he got down on one knee.
And then we met our parents at the Millerage for dinner later that night.
We are getting married on July 16, 2006.We are having our reception at the Swan Club.

We have been together for a year and a half.
I can't believe we are getting married!! We are both so excited and trying to enjoy our engagment too!
