comedy in NYC???

Does anyone know how or where I can find info on comedy clubs in NYC? FH and I are going at the end of our HM to NYC. I really want to Laugh my a$$ off and we will be in the city to see a show on sunday the 20th so I wanted to find somewhere to go for Sat the 19th night. Does anyone have anything that can help me? I also need somewhere to stay that night, so if anyone has any ideas....TIA

I highly recommend the Comedy Cellar..they have great comedians, everynight and its not a big place at all so you're pretty close and can hear and see everything...

I was actually at the Laugh Factory in Times Square this weekend and had such a great time! The comedians were actually funny - unlike other corny ones I've been to!

I second this recommendation....I love the comedy cellar. Very reasonably priced and they have great comedians.

I usually go to this place:
Ha Comedy Club. Always funny
Entry is cheap and u just need a 2 drink minimum. Its prob cheapest comedy club in the city
(Think its at 44 and 7th, cant remember)

Re: comedy in NYC???

FH is a stand up and has done shows at the following venues all of which are great but I would look into them to see if they are doing an open mic or an actual show that night.

The Improv
NY Comedy Club
Stand Up NY

Governer's (but that's LI not NYC)
