I'm so sorry this happened to you.
I'd probably request all of my money back and then just go to Macy's or Nordstrom's to find something off the rack. It's not worth that much aggrevation.

That is so unfair and unprofessional!! Keep complaining its their fault the order came in wrong. In fact can't you get a refund because its not what you ordered? Don't accept the dress!

That's awful... shame on them! I know you are in your last minute wedding stuff mode, but I would definately report them to the BBB once you are back from your HM.
They should NOT be allowed to get away with that type of behavior!

did she pay cash or credit? sometimes you can contact your credit card company and say that you didnt authorise your card for that. after all she got an item which she did not order.

I agree. She can totally dispute it with her credit card company. Even though it is very close to the date, she can go to Macys or Nordstroms and find something beautiful off the rack. Alterations should only take a week.

I would demand all your money back from the Wedding Center, report it to Better Business Bureau and take your business elsewhere.
Here are few areas you can go to look for dresses: 1. Any Macy's store - I've heard raves about Lake Grove 2. Wedding WORLD - Helen's Boutique is located there and they had a medium size assortment of Mother of Bride/Groom dresses there. I ordered my bridesmaid dresses from there and their service is impeccable!!!! 3. Patchogue - There are a few places on Main Street that sell dresses - prom, wedding, bridesmaids. My MIL bought hers down there and got a great price! I don't remember the name of the store off hand. 4. David's Bridal - They can get it to you in a rugh - or ask them about their alterations - maybe they'll be cheaper!!
