Company e-mails...have they lost their minds! ANOTHER UPDATE BELOW! HE'S AT IT AGAIN!

I was searching for an e-mail and came across these lovely e-mails from the office manager...

His pet peeve....the carpet!

1. On Friday, April 8th., the housekeeping staff will be cleaning the carpeting. The sections that are being done at this time are all the aisles throughout the office.

PLEASE REMEMBER THAT WHEN YOU WALK AROUND THE OFFICE WITH DRINKS, THEY MUST BE IN CUPS WITH LIDS OR COVERS.

2. PLEASE REMEMBER, ANY LIQUIDS THAT YOU CONSUME AT YOUR DESK, TEA, COFFEE, SODA, WATER, ......DO NOT THROW OUT CONTAINER IF THERE IS ANY LIQUID INSIDE!!!!!

.EMPTY THEM IN OUR SINKS.

3. REMINDER:

Your desk is not the appropriate place for eating meals.......... an occasional snack or drink is o.k., anything else is not acceptable.

Also, do not walk through the office with uncovered drink containers.......the carpeting is stained in too many locations because of carelessness.

4. (This one had the subject of 'reminder #20')
Please do not walk around the office with open containers of liquid............last night the cleaning service attempted to remove the large stains all around the office.

They are still there.............please get a cup with a cover, and use it.........the office carpeting is taking a beating because some of our 'family' find it too difficult to comply with simple requests.

If you see someone walking around with an open cup.........please say something to them,.................or let me know.

Since I am responsible for the appearance of the office, I do not appreciate anyone making my job more difficult, nor making it seem that I am not doing my job.



Yep...Do you think he needs a life! Sadly enough...I think I'd be a bit annoyed when adults cannot figure out such a simple request, but this is hilarious!

Gee, do ya think he wants covers on the lids of cups? And he's truly 'out to get' anyone caught without a lid on their cup. Hilarious.

OMG can you imagine being the lid police? 'Hmmmm, Sara that cup doesn't have a lid...I think I'm going to have to report you'.

Hmmm, I wonder if your Lid Cop knows our Passive-agressive Note lady!

There are multiple notes about jiggle the handle on
the broken toilet, washing dishes , cups & spoon immediately & cleaning up coffe drips. SHe even once taped a spon to the wall, b/c someone left it in the sink!

I actually worked at a place like that where the office manager would totally freak out if you did not have a cover on your cup. Crazy !!!!

Do you work in a law firm? I was the administrator of a law firm office and there was one attorney who would bug my butt about stuff like this and it would prompt me to send ridiculous e-mails like this sometimes. I think he's under a lot of pressure from someone who reamed him.

Having said that-It's over the top-but that comes from the top if you know what I mean.

OMG!!! Same guy had rubberbanded about 12 coffee stirrers together then tacked them to the wall...this was in protest regarding the 'coffee stirrers in the sink drain'...

I WISH I still have that e-mail! I started saving the e-mails from him...they're too hilarious!

It sounds like something out of 'Office Space'...

The latest from our friendly office mgr!


This Friday, Sept 30th..both refrigerators are scheduled to be cleaned by the maintenance crew.

Over the last several months, I have notice the number of items left in the refrigerators has steadily increased. There are notes attached, in english and spanish to 'not throw away', etc.

I have instructed the crew that both refrigerators and freezers are to be emptied of all contents.

Anything that in inside either of them will be thrown away.....if it is important to you....take it home. The freezer in the large kitchen is terrible due to an exploding soda can.

Also, the small freezer needs to be defrosted.......I will take care of that.

I just had to update this thread...It's gone from bad to worst! This guy has nothing better to do...

Here's the latest...

Because xxxxxx continues to grow so rapidly, we are running out of office space and therefore need to transform the large kitchen into a work area to accommodate 4-5 employees. As a result of this change, the microwave is being removed on Friday, October 28th.

It would be terribly difficult to have people working in an enclosed area where cooking is taking place. In addition, it is a violation of our lease to have a microwave.

Please understand, the refrigerator, sink, coffee/tea station will remain in tact as well as the water cooler.

There is no other location for the microwave in our office, but we are all fortunate to have the food court next door.
