Computer question...Turning the date back on the computer...
My mom has dial up MSN, and she recently upgraded to a new version. Ever since, she has been unable to get online. I spent an hour tonight on my cell with some guy in a foreign country who did not speak english well trying to help me fix it. Bottom line, an hour later, still not working....Soooo...I remember another time we set the computer date back to before she made the change to revert it to the previous version of MSN, but I forget how. I think it was more complex than just changing the date. TIA!

i think maybe you mean a system restore where it resets the computer back to a previous date where there was no problems on the computer, but that may mean it will delete and new programs you have installed.

do you have windows xp?
well, if you do,
hit start button, all programs accessories, systems tools..
(it may just me in the accessories folder but it's either accessories or system tools foler)
then hit system restore. i will (if enable) bring up a calender of dates the the machine either had to make a resotre point, or you told it to. This will not delete documents, just makes changes to system files.
Let me know if you need any further help.
