It was cluttered with crap. Top to bottom. Every closet had crap, papers, flyers, paint cans still filled with paint, old clothing from the 90's, old old dressers, tv stands, shampoo and condintioner leaky in the upstairs shower stall, a chicken cutlet on the stove, a box of garbage sitting in the middle of the basement, more paint cans and epoxy, a 486 compuer, a broken stairclimber, Christmas wrapping paper in the cubby holes in the loft, a broken stool, nasty shelving still half up....
W T F do I do now? I had people over last night and all I heard from my father was how bad the condition was left in. I wanted to cry. Finally I just freaked and starting yelling at everyone. If were to see pictures you would be upset too. It just bothers me more to have to hear it over and over.
What do I do now???
I also had a neighbor telling me to hurry up and change teh locks beacsue teh former owners friend was living in our basement and she told her she wasn't moving out. Great. Who else will be there when I get there? I am changing the locks next week.
Re: Condition of the home when I got in to it last night
Back from the house, we were there all weekend. Were able to clean the grime off the kitchen cabinets, have guys in refinishing the floors and my parents helped my father in law throw some crap out. No way we will be in by 12/01 but our landlord will prorate the rent for us. You would not BELIEVE some of the crap we found... here was one item left behind...Boobs Yes, I am serious! FOund it in an upstairs closet.

OH! And I forgot to mention that they (FORMER OWNERS) were there (MY HOUSE) AGAIN on Friday while I was at work. Locks are changed now so that would be the last time. That was 4 days after closing. SHe was not allowed in the house unless she put $1500 in escrow before the closing. So there was no reason for me to even let her in on Tuesday.

Well~this just keeps getting better and better.
We had the floors redone, only to find out that the cast iron radiators are leaking in two of the rooms on to my new floors! They did a quick fix to hide it from us, but we need to have them replaced asap so we can even turn the heat on. Regardless, I still love my 'money pit'.

We needed alot of stuff when we moved in that we didn't expect to buy. Our stove went on us in the 2nd month there. Once you get in and do everything, being broke isn't as bad after you are finished and living there.
