To the 09 Ladies on your engagements. I know 2009 seems so far away but in the blink of an eye your year will be here and you'll look back at these posts and say DAMN I was so calm back then

Thanks LOL, the funny thing is that I'm neurotic already(not Bridezilla but flipping out over all the choices we have to make) If it only gets worse with time I'll have to get married at Creedmore mental hospital, hmmm I wonder how much the charge pp.....

Thanks! I just got engaged a little over a week ago.

This is my first post!

I feel like a 2009 wedding is so far away but think it might be necessary in order to save and pay for it. How does everyone else come up with the date?

I'm in the same boat, HotAir. We originally were going to do 2008 but realized we needed more time to save. We picked September because it is still warm enough for an outdoor ceremony but not too hot. Also it doesn't rain as much as in the spring. I also like fall colors and it's a little later in the year, gives us even more time to save.

I like the idea of a September wedding as well. I love the colors. I'm in the really beginning stages of planning. I really don't have a date nailed down yet. Part of me wants to just enjoy the engagement but realize that I have to get moving with saving and planning.

FH and I are going for 2009 because I want to finish grad school and he wants to be settled in a job and we're going for August because I won't graduate until April/May-ish and then his mom is a teacher so she won't be done until June, there are already too many anniversaries in July and then at that point FH and I don't want to wait any longer!
