Considering ordering my gown from Netbride

I found the dress I love and tried in on today at Kleinfeld's. It was $3600 from them and netbride is offering it for $2700. When I told the buyer at Kleinfelds the netbride quote she scolded me and told me it is probably not authentic. Has anyone ordered through them? I'm thrilled to safe almost $1K but scared. How do they ship it? Is it ready to wear or will it be wrinkled from shipping?

I ordered my wedding gown from NetBride. I was impressed with their prices. My experience was somewhat mixed. Yes, the prices are great. Yes, the gown arrived before the expected date. Yes, the colors and size were correct. I did notice that there was a dirt smudge at the bottom of the dress, but I'm short so I knew that it would be hemmed and the stain wouldn't show. I reported it to NetBride and they did apologize. I didn't think anything else about it at the time. However, when I took the gown in to be altered, my seamstress noticed small runs in the fabric of the gown. As she examined the gown more closely, she noticed that there were several of these runs and we also began noticing small smudges in different areas.

When I emailed NetBride to report these problems, I was told I could send the dress back but since my wedding is less than three weeks away, this isn't really an option for me. I was also 'scolded' for not reporting this earlier although in my reply I mentioned the fact that I had reported the dirt spot when I first got the dress. As for the runs, I didn't notice them until the dress was in bright light at the seamstress.

So I guess my advice is to proceed with caution. I will be the first to say that the prices at NetBride are amazing! I saved 40% on the price of my dress. If you can live with the chance of imperfections on such an important purchase, then NetBride is the way to go. If, like me, you expect your dress to be pristine white and in PERFECT condition, then you might want to keep looking.

OMG! Why would you wait until 3 weeks before your wedding to inspect your dress?
