I wear contacts. I would definatley sugges them. You dont have to worry about them if you cry at the service. It is hard to get used to putting them in at first but once you get used to it, its so easy!!! And much more convienent. I wear mine all day...even in the pool. I just dont sleep with them in. GO FOR IT!!!

Everybody I know that uses them, loves them. I, on the other hand do not like wearing them (I'm told that it is because I don't wear them often enough)...I have a very strong perscription....I would like to get laziks (sp) before the wedding just because I don't like wearing contacts...but again, that's just me.

I too was just like you until 2 years ago, and I must tell you I kick myself for not getting them sooner. Once you get used to them, they are so easy to put in and maintian. It was a godsend for me!

and FYI for anyone interested in getting lasik but just too scared. I worked for a place that does it. I worked there for three years and had three family members have it done. I would highly recomend it!!!! So don't be scared!!!!

Re: contacts

I've been wearing them for years, and love them.
A girl i work with just got married this past weekend and only got contacts for the first time a week before her wedding, and she adjusted in plenty of time for her wedding.

I wear glasses too and I was thinking about contacts for the big day, but I've decided I'm just going to fix it permanently and get laser eye surgery a few months before.

Re: contacts

I wear them on and off. Usually in the morning I am too tired/late/lazy to put them in, so I save them for special occasions when I know I will be photographed (or I'm out at a club with friends since I once lost my glasses on the dance floor and they got stepped on before I retrieved them).

i have been wearing them since I was 16! They take some time to get use to but they are wonderful! I hate wearing my glasses! I want to get the laser surgery after the wedding (but that is another story)...I would contact your eye doctor & talk to him about trying contacts out

Re: contacts

Definitely try them out, they're great. I didn't get them until a year ago and I have to admit that it took me a while to learn how to put them in...I used to have to wake up earlier just so that I would have time to put them in. Now I can do it in a few seconds.

I wear them. If you decide to get them, do it about two or three months before the wedding so that you can get use to wearing them.
You're going to love it.

I agree - actually I would consider getting them now... I used to wear them all the time, then stopped, and I recenty re-started. I have dry eyes, but the two-week lenses work well.

The dr. will show you how to put them in and take them out

honestly i wouldnt' do it a few months before the wedding, i have spoke to another bride on here and she did it a few months before her wedding and totally regretted it. For me it's taking more than 3 months to completely heal, i still dont' see perfect in bright lights and i can't drive at night. I wasn't a canidate for the regular lasik procedure so mine was more complicated, but either way your eyes need time to heal.
