Continuation of Gloves Post

Hi.

I have been away from my computer for a couple of days.

I was reading some of the posts on wearing gloves at the wedding.

Is this absolutely necessary? I have a halter style dress, will I look ridiculous if I have bare arms?

I am not having my wedding at Church if this makes a difference.

Please let me know your opinions.

Re: Continuation of Gloves Post

You will NOT look ridiculous without them.. that's a personal choice.. I don't know what I'm doing yet.. although with the *look* I am trying to get I may get the short ones.. (up to your wrist)

Re: Continuation of Gloves Post

I don't think it'll be ridiculous at all without gloves. I (personally) can't stand them. Strapless dress or not, I'm not wearing gloves.

Re: Continuation of Gloves Post

I am not wearing gloves with my strapless dress. I do have a bolero that I'm wearing for the church.
I think its a preference. I personally wouldn't feel comfortable wearing gloves.

Re: Continuation of Gloves Post

No gloves here. I think it's a personal preference. I just don't think I could stand them.

Re: Continuation of Gloves Post

I like the look of gloves on *other* people, but I will not be wearing gloves myself. It is pretty common, they are not necessary.

Re: Continuation of Gloves Post

You definitely don't have to wear gloves. I've been going to weddings so often lately 7 this year - 8 next! (my fi said its his part time job!) and I have yet to see a bride in gloves! Personally, I think they look great with some looks. I'm not wearing them though - and my dress is haltar also.

Re: Continuation of Gloves Post

I will be wearing gloves for the ceremony only - I have a dress with spaghetti straps in the winter, so I thought it was appropriate. But, by no means do you have to do ANYTHING you don't feel comfortable doing......do whatever makes you feel like a princess on your special day!

Re: Continuation of Gloves Post

I had a halter gown too, and wore above the elbow gloves. It looked so elegant, and made the dress.
I wore them for pics, the church, and up till the first dance, then I took them off.
