Wacky, there is a difference b/w immigrants and visitors, so when you call one thing something its not, people can't always read what's on your mind. I am not calling you a liar nor an ignorant person. We use JFK a few times a year, and I have never seen anyone do such gross things. But I certainly don't work there every day. But I don't think in most developed countries its ok to **** on the floor or do all that other nasty stuff...

Jeez whwn will enough be enough first we are mad at the fact the bush is fighting a war which he (HE ) fells is necessary for our safety, then if he doesnt where mad, he should of would of , could of, but didn't . Actually our economy is doing a lot better then it was and it was not Bush fault they we plummited 09/11 affected us very badly and that is do to the U.S. not being strict enough with who we let in.

My friend is a flight attendent for the North American and she is forever flyig to kuwait to drop soilders off, prior to her going on any of these flight they are throughly trained on the culture, as well as other countries she flies to now why is it that she has to do this but when it comes to them learning about us they don't and because we expect them to we are ignorant??????? I am sorry my heart doesn't always bleed for these people I bleed for My country!

immigrant is someone who moves into another country to live

visitor (who I personally found to be the offenders of inappropriate acts) is someone who comes and leaves...

And, that's what's wrong with our country?
It the same people that think allowing hard working, productive people into this country is the problem, who vote for a president who cares more about industry profits than his citizens. Makes me sick, and sad.

I have to wonder how educated, and I don't mean a B.A., but really educated, people who think this way are. Generally not very.

visitors usually respect others. I am a smoker and when I visit a place I dont autmoatically light up.

And July I am definitley ignorant in your book, I am 16 credits shy of a BA, Im not registered to vote, and personally I could really care less about politics. We are all puppets on a string and thats life

One more thing, on flights many of these people are just arriving here, so they don't know the cultural differences. If you came to my house but didn't know that I require everyone to take off their shoes before walking on my hardwood floors, and you walked in without your shoes, I wouldn't hate you.

Now, I would tell you the rule and then if you continued to do it I would be upset. Sounds like most of these people are just arriving and haven't learned the cultural rules yet.

Julybride, it's one thing to walk into your house with my shoes on and quite another to blow your nose into your hand and flick the snot and mucus into the air to fall on someone else.

I can't figure out WHAT country/culture it's OK to do that in. And when I do you sure as hell wont' see me going there. I'm not insensitive to other cultures and mores but I'm sorry a line has to be drawn (for me at least) somewhere.

bottom line is....shitting anywhere but the toilet, not using a hankie to blow your nose and carrying a poop bag is GROSS!!!

Ohhh and BTW...I went to El Salvador a few years ago...when I got to the airport, I had to use the bathroom (didnt **** where I stood)...when I walked into the bathroom I was pleasently surprised...the bathroom was sooooooooooooo clean I could eat off the floor. There was an attendent there that cleaned the stalls after people used them. i cant tell you the last time the toilet was cleaned right before and right after I used it in a public place.

I never said they were YOUR own.. I said they were MY own (hence I said you should carefully read my statement) it was my own PERSONAL order of importance and no one can make it different but me.

AS far as educated..
Well hell then Im just country bumpkin idiot then aint i? $hit Im a F'ing fool after all I'm only a stupid ignorant High School educated nitwit.

But I am republican.. OH wait I guess that explains it, right? Sorry us uneducated idiots need better explanations.

Especially idiots like myself who went from McDonald's to corporate America working in New York City with nothing but a high school education. I'm making nearly 10 times what I did just 10 years ago. I vote and I am proud of my vote regardless of education each person should vote based on their beliefs, period.

Then again.. I dont take a $hit in public which I guess is worth something.

I should add.. I don't care who thinks who is thier 'OWN' .. I think giving to charity period.. here or there is a worthwhile cause. I choose to give here and I don't feel any guilt over knowing others overseas are suffering, because as I've said people are suffering here too. Kudos to all who contribute, period.

Education: heck.. We've become a society which requires education as a form of license to give opinions and be heard. I disagree. However I am in a minority and I realize that, so I'm going back to school to become 'educated'. Still I worked my butt off to be where I am today. Moved to NYC with nothing and have never given up at what I do. I've been promoted at every job I have held within the first 24months. Im proud of what I've accomplished and I feel those without a college degree can also move up in this world. They just need to understand and accept the ignorance of others who see us 'uneducated' people as inferior.

So.. if you feel that as an 'uneducated' person I am inferior or somehow my opinions have less value then that's fine.. I really don't care. It's on an online site of opinions after all. That doesnt even make me 'sick and sad'.. maybe a bit of pity for those who think this way and honestly makes me kind of giggle.. how ignorant those are who think I am inferior.
