Controversial thread-My gf works at JFk and the other night she was telling how immigrants have

And as far as education goes, a formal education isn't always what it's cracked up to be. Education can be gained in many places, not just in a classroom. Just because someone has a degree doesn't make them more 'educated' than someone who doesn't have one.

And just for the record, I have seen more open minded, free thinking people go off to college and come back with closed minds and unbending opinions than I care to admit.

Just my opinion...

Peeweesgirl- it is Bush's fault that we are in the middle of a jobless economy... no it was NOT his fault that the internet bubble burst- however, it is his fault that he continues tax cuts in the face of surging defecits... that's not really fiscally responsible. Additionally he is passing tax cuts really for the rich- allowing them to pay virtually no tax on any unearned income ($ from stocks, investments, etc)

Go back to page one and read my post about the people whipping out the potty chair in the line at disney world takeing a piss and then dumping it out on the sidewalk where we were standing. Guess where they where from? France Yup thats right France. Last time I checked France wasnt a third world Country. Lets take Africa for an example Have you been to Africa July? They dont take a crap in their shack they go out in to the field squat over the little whole that is dug in the ground and dump. They may not have T.P. but they still dont crap in their shack. BTW the people in Africa don't wear clothes when they come here they have clothes on. This is a Country where Janet cant even Flash her boobie on TV. If they can afford an airport then cant they afford to have Bathrooms in their buildings IE: Airport?

my old boss came from India with 7$ in his pocket in 1975-76, he didn't like politically what was going on there ( he was thrown in the woods, jungle, because of his dismay) so he came here HE is now VP of Metlife and a Multi Millionaire living in oyster bay cove. And guess what when he came here you use to have to pay to get into the bathroom (25 cents) he had to go so badly that he paid a 1$ to cut the line so please do not tell me immigrants don't know better the ones who are here to begin a new life learn the cutoms prior. He also bought a book when he got here on LEARNING THE English Language Mind you He ONLY HAD 7$ minus the one he paid to use the toilet.

You know what if it was just JFK that they were doing this in it would be one thing. I have worked in a wholesale clube for close to 12 yrs. I cant even begin to tell you what these people do. No you cant say they dont know better b/c they know enough to go to a wholesale club and buy a membership there
We had one person drop his pants behind the membership counter and s**t.

We had someone whip it out a pee on a $4grand Stereo system which ended up more or less going in the garbage b/c we couldnt in good faith sell it with pee on it.

How about someone s**t-ing outside on the front wall of the store.

Or my personal favorite and I swear to you it is almost an everyday event. There are footprints on the toilet seat in the ladies room which means someone climbs up there and squats.....And you wonder why the ladys rooms are always filthy???

Now you know this isnt the first day that these people are in the country going shopping at a wholesale club. You would think by then they would know that we do use bathroom and you dont pee on 4thousand dollar stereo systems with out getting in some sort of truble.

As an immigrant myself (I came here when I was 5) and my family as well
I am disgusted. I honestly don't know what country these people are from
that they would actually think that is the norm. I come from a small, poor
and war-ridden country as well and let me tell you guys, I know alot of
people living in extreme poverty and yes, w/o toilets but these are the cleanest
people you will ever meet. I met these people several years ago on a
volunteer mission I was on and I was astonished at their poverty level but
also at how clean they maintained their small houses(if you can call the
dirt-floor shacks they lived in 'houses') They showered daily, with whatever
little water they had, they hand-washed all their clothes, they washed and
re-washed all their fruits and vegetables before cooking. Some people
seem to think that only Americans are clean and I can tell you this is not true.
Now when my mother first came to this country, she worked as a housekeeper
now keep in mind that these were 'rich American people' and OMG,
the stories she would tell me. Some of these people would actually leave
panties or boxers full of Sh*t and the women were the worse ones!!!!!
I personally don't think it has anything to do with your immigration status
or cultural differences. Come on, let's get real I don't care what country
you come from, this is just a matter of personal hygiene!!!!!!!!! I have tons
of relatives that don't know a lick of English but you know what? they know
better. I mean my grandmother packs her suitcases with Tupperware,
but that's about it!!!!!!! like I said B-4, I don't know what country these people
are coming from, but please don't assume that all immigrants are ignorant
like this, because that is what it is, just plain old ignorance. Don't assume
that just because all of us that come from third world countries are savages
and don't know any better, because we do!!!! and if some of them like to do
this it's because they are just plain NASTY and give all of us immigrants
a bad name!!!!!!! I guess this is the reason why some of the workers at JFK
are so nasty with immigrants. I just get snotty with some of them because
they really want to treat me like I don't know English or something, please
I probably have more class in my pinky that some of them have in their whole
bodies!!!! now that really pisses me off!!! So for all you JFK workers out there
please don't get nasty with all of us just because a few bad apples have
ruined for us because the majority of us are educated and civilized people.
Thank you all for allowing me to post this very long vent but I needed to
get it of my chest!!!!!

Ohhh and BTW...I went to El Salvador a few years ago...when I got to the airport, I had to use the bathroom (didnt **** where I stood)...when I walked into the bathroom I was pleasently surprised...the bathroom was sooooooooooooo clean I could eat off the floor. There was an attendent there that cleaned the stalls after people used them. i cant tell you the last time the toilet was cleaned right before and right after I used it in a public place.

I am a former JFK employee and I truly hope that you didn't take what I said the wrong way....

I maintain that it is the visitors that had 'unique' behaviors...and usually people who were being deported...I saw immigrants arriving everyday I worked there and I never witnessed anything but stellar behavior (mostly b/c the INS guys didn' take any sh*t...literally and figuratively)


I married into an entire family of immigrants who speak another language at home...and they are cleaner than I am (I love when MIL comes to visit b/c she will help me clean )


again...i am sorry if I wrote something the wrong way...it is the few and far between that behave awful...

But I have experienced some very bad behavior from some of the workers
I can understand what you are saying though and I am sure that you have
truly seen some outrageous things. I sometimes get mad at some of my
people for trying to pack their entire house when going on vacation!!!!!

my grandmother used to pack a suitcase of M&Ms and coffee to bring to Germany (before they were readily available there) - if you pack it - you just have to carry it...

my only excuse for nasty emplyees is exhaustion (on your feet all day)...and they've heard every excuse in the book...so they are not very open to hearing even the truth...although since I worked for an airline and not the airport or go'vt I had to be nice

I used to do that when I was little. My mom taught me not to ever sit on public toilets, and when you're short, you cant squat and not sit on the toilet. So I would climb up on the seat

Personally, I think the people that try so hard never to touch the toilet seats in public bathrooms are the ones that cause them to be filthy.

If we all just sat our butts down and did what we had to like ladies, then none of us would have to worry about what we were sitting on

Woman are the worst pigs in public bathrooms!! I work in a 'professional'office but if yiou looked at the bathroom you would think I worked with animals!!

the bathrooms in my office make me nauseous they are not stalls, they are like closets - euro style i think? stinks!
