Re: Converting
FH and I are both of the same faith. But I would never ask anyone to convert unless it was a calling from the heart.

My FI was only baptized as well, and did not have to make up the rest of his sacraments b/c he's getting married in my church, which just requires one of us (me) to have gone through the whole ordeal. FI only had to get a 'Petition of Freedom' - which is a letter from his parish priest stating that he's never been married in the Catholic Church before. He also had to get his baptizmal certificate.

Re: Converting
I am considering converting from catholicism to unitarianism; I am also considering some Eastern philosophies but it's not for the wedding; FH is Jewish.

Re: Converting
My FILs aren't happy with me because I refuse. We aren't getting married in the church any way and my FH left the church long before he met me!

Re: Converting
I am Catholic, FH is Greek-orthodox. We are getting married in a Greek church, but I am not converting.

Re: Converting
FH is Jewish, I'm the product of an interfaith marriage - I have no plans to convert.
