Coral House

Coral House

Has anyone heard anything about or been to a wedding here? A friend at work said she just went to a wedding there recently and that it was horrible - said the bathrooms were gross, the food was bad and it was just not a nice place. Now I'm worried, because my favorite cousin is planning her wedding there, and I don't want her to be disappointed. Help!

I was just at one this Saturday, and although the people there were very nice.... I wasn't wowed with the place.... small example - the lake was filthy! with the amount of $ people are spending there to celebrate one of the most special days in their lives you would think that they would take the floating debris from the top of the lake outta there!

Oh no!! That's exactly what my friend said - that the place was not kept up at all and that she felt it was 'seedy'. My cousin is meticulous and is going to freak if this is the case. And, the fact the my friend is usually very laid back and nonchalant BUT still made these comments, made me believe the place is no good. Uh oh...

I am getting married there THIS Saturday & I love it!
Sometimes the ducks cant be controlled but I love my place.

I am offended by this! My reception hall is not seedy!
I could have afforded a wedding anywhere too!

I have attended two weddings there. I wasn't really impressed with the place. The roooms were nice, but I wasn't really impressed. But please know that is just a matter of taste. The food for the cocktail hour was great at both weddings. But the main course wasn't that good. The bathrooms were fine when I was there. That is about all that I can remember.

Re: Coral House

Yes, my friend mentioned 'garbage in the water'. I guess that's what she was referring to. What a horrible first impression to make when you're walking into a wedding - especially if it's yours! Yikes!

i didn't point it out to my friend at all.... i didn't want her to freak at all.

Re: Coral House

Let me say to you this, my reception will be there this weekend, and once again, I like the place. I am paying more for my wedding there than most brides pay for their halls that i have spoken to on this board (I have a Saturday night in may) and I have no problems with the place.

If a photographer is good and there is something in the water & he gets it on film, he isnt a good photographer.

Calling it seedy is a joke.

Re: Coral House

that's the problem jenn.... i worry about the quality of this photographer. they went & did everything thru a wedding center & i don't know if what they paid for is the quality that they got!

Re: Coral House

I'm sorry - I didn't know and I didn't mean to offend. I was just asking because of something I heard. Those were her words, not mine. Sorry

Re: Coral House

I am not worried Lisa!

Calling it seedy is a big insult to me!

Re: Coral House

Also, I only asked because it's my cousin who is supposed to be getting married here. And, if she hears any of this, she still has enough time to change her mind. That's only fair. Clearly, my friend isn't the only one who wasn't pleased with the place. How dare they not keep up the place - especially knowing it's someone's once in a lifetime big day! That's just plain wrong!

minniebride I don't blame you. As I said I am going there tomorrow night & I was there last week & I saw no problems.

I was always told the food there was awesome & when I tasted it YUM!

Chip & Shamma & Michelle W can tell you more Sunday
