So I just got back from Fredericks and bought 2 corsets. The problem I had was that 1 size fit me good in the stomach area but was to big in the bust and the one that fit the bust was to tight in the stomach and doesnt close all the way. The sales woman said its ok if it doesnt close all the way. She said she wears hers open and many women do. She also said because i have a tatoo on my lower back its kind of sexy......
Was she telling me bull sh*t to make the sale or is it ok to wear a corset that is not completly closed in the back?

Interesting question! I think it's okay to have the corset open a little. I think I might even like that you can see a little skin peeking through. I'd much rather have the corset open a little than have it not fit properly on the top.

Yeah, I didn't think a corset was supposed to close in the back all the way... if the edges meet, you're not pulling it tight enough to really suck you in, KWIM? So I'm sure it looks amazing, sounds sexy!

Thanks ladies. My DOC and my girlfriend said the same thing. Its ok if the back is open a bit. I have never worn one before and thought the back had to close all the way. I feel much better now!!!

I love corsets and have been wearing them forever (oh my goth phase as a teen, lol). As long as your comfortable with a little skin showing, having it a tad 'open' in the back is perfect.

Yea i am totally comfortable with it. It even gives me a chance to show off my tatoo back there that noone ever sees.

the whole point is to support ur chest, so as long as it fits good up there im sure its fine to have it open in te back a lil
