Cost of Chuppahs

Hi Ladies, I'm trying to figure out what we should expect to spend on a chuppah. I know that different styles can be different prices so if you could post a picture of yours with the price that would be really helpful. But if all you have are prices, that would be greatly appreciated too. Also, please let me know if you got yours through your florist, or did you get it on your own, or through your rabbi? Any help would be really appreciated!!

If you'd feel more comfortable FMing me, that would be great too. Thanks!!

Re: Cost of Chuppahs

they cost does vary considerable depending what you want from fabric, to ligting and flowers. I would say a relaistic ranfe is between 600-2,000 depending what you want. If you get married at a temple the typically have a standard chuppah

Re: Cost of Chuppahs

Thanks for the post. I'm not looking for something really ornate or super fancy. I'd like elegant w/out being over the top. I've seen some basic nice chuppahs with your standard white cloth (without looking cheap) and some flowers. So I guess I just really want to know what the experiences have been of other brides out there!! Thanks!

Re: Cost of Chuppahs

hi. we did a pretty simple chuppah through our florist and i think it cost us in the $700-$800 range (can't remember exactly but i know it was under $1000 for sure) we actually added it on at the last minute. it was just white tool and then flowers to match the rest of the ceremony flowers. i didn't think i wanted one at first (DH is jewish, not me) but it was honestly my favorite part of the ceremony decorations. HTH! here's a couple of pics:

Mine was $800, and included everything, even the draping, candles, flowers, flower petals, Ring boy's pillow, etc.

Re: Cost of Chuppahs

I was quoted between 500-750 for mine. I wanted something simple. We are getting 3 clusters of flowers across the top with a thin row of flowers connecting it, plus 2 clusters on the left and right for $500. The chuppah will be in the white fabric.

Re: Cost of Chuppahs

Holy-moly, $1500.00!!! I shudder to think!! It's not that I'm against spending $$ b/c I've budgeted approx $150 - $350 per centerpiece depending upon it's height, but for a chuppah that's going to last for a 15min ceremony that makes me queesy, lol. I hope you're having a REALLY LOOOONNNG ceremony so everyone can take it all in, LOL!! I'd love to see what this looks like though. I'm sure it's gonna be beautiful (or at least it better be, hah).

Re: Cost of Chuppahs

That would be great, thanks!! I'm curious to see what that will look like....It sounds stunning though. I'm sure you're gonna have an amazing day. We're going w/a fall theme. All of the deep reds, burnt oranges, golds and touches of green. I was thinking of doing something w/fall leaves coming up the side, but I know that would be pricey but still something I'm considering...hmmm...

Re: Cost of Chuppahs

I think ours was around $500. It was the basic package from the florist. However, they were able to reuse the flowers to decorate our table for the reception. Pics in album. It was curly willow branches with hydrangea and roses.
