Cost of invitations

I have to start shopping for invitations soon. I have not idea what I should budget for this...can you guys help me out. What can I expect to pay for the whole package? I need 125 invitations...I'll probably get something that's fairly simple in design.

Thanks.

i've heard a range anywhere from $300 to over $1000...we are spending just under $400 for 125 invites from linda's lovelies.

It depends what you want...you can prob even spend $200 for 125 invites. If you want to print them yourself it will be prob. less. Mine are about $300 for everything.

I ordered mine from Jodi from Simplicty Planning and she gave me a great price. I ordered 150 invitations (RSVP cards, reception cards, return address on the envelopes) and seals for $400. Here is my invitation.

I'm looking to order 125 invitations too (just at a later date ) and I've set a budget of $500 and I really need to stick to that. I've seen lots of pretty invitations in the catalogs and when adding it all up I've seen tons of possibilities for coming in way under my budget. It all depends on what you want.

Good Luck!

It depends on the company and the quality of the paper. IMO, I wouldn't skimp on the invites as they set the tone for the wedding.

You will notice a definite difference in quality when comparing various invites.

We used Cranes and although they are one of the more pricey companies (to me) it was TOTALLY worth it.

$950 for everything (including calligraphy).

But, I knew from the beginning that the invites were going to be my 'splurge' item. I am very into stationary. I always send cards and thank-yous and I love receiving cards. And, to me, the invitation sets the tone for the whole wedding. It's the first impression...
