Cost of Invitations??
Hello ladies. I was wondering what everyone is paying for their invitations. It seems that the ones I`ve been picking come out to @$900 for qty.100 (including all components)and that`s with a 20-30% discount!!! Seems to much , don`t you think?

This is what I'm spending
This may not help because I got mine in Florida but at least it will give you a comparison in pricing...My totoal came to $398.74 and that includes: invitations, colored liners, return address, reception cards, response set, and thank yous. 100 of each, plus extra for navy ink. $900 does seem a bit too much to me.

Cost of Invitations??
Mine came to $133 for pretty, simple, white folder invites (w/ calla lillies in 2 corners), resond cards, all envelopes, liner, colored ink and return address for 50 invites. This also includes tax and shipping. I thought it was a great deal. I`m not sure how much 100 invites would be. I went to Gail from Simply Elegant, who gives 30% off of the prices you see in the binders. And, her service is great, they came in 1 week and she was so helpful.

It all depends...
much like everything wedding related, there are so many options. You can buy low end priced invites for less than $100 for 100 and you can buy designers ones that start at $1000 just for the design. I think companies like Rexcraft has the cheapest ones and companies like Claudia Calhoun have the most expensive types. I think I will spend about 600 for 75 invites - but thats because I want my invites to set the tone of the event.

Cost of Invitations??
We spent about $300 for 150 invites. That was with a 30% discount. Otherwise I think they were around $400.

Cost of Invitations?? We did engraved ...
We got ours engraved through a paper company in the city that my aunt works for. I don't remember the name of her company - I think it's Marquadt, but I'm not sure. Anyway, we got 100 invites, 125 outer envelopes, 125 inner lined envelopes, (in case of mistakes while doing addresses), reception cards, thank-you cards (plain ones with our name on the front) and response cards and envelopes. We chose a heavy, card stock, single panel invite, in ecru color, with black ink. Everything was engraved, including the return address on the envelopes. We saved 40% because of my aunt, however, the cost came to almost $600 before any taxes or discounts. We think we made out well on these. We love them!!

Cost of Invitations??
We are having a Scottish theme for our wedding (my fiance is from Scotland). So I was expecting the invites to be expensive but I was able to find a company on the web that does some great invites for $3.00 per invite-includes personalized invite with envelope, personalized reply card with pre-addressed return envelopes, each of the guests names individually printed on each of the invitations and a tartan ribbon and thistle as designs on the invites. They are also doing our Church booklets for $2.50 each. The website is www.scotwedinvite.co.uk if you wanted to take a look. We are choosing the Traditional style. I would suggest looking around a bit on the web before you decide but if you really love them and you can afford then go for it! Good Luck!

We went through a family friend. She made the whole experience really great. I don't have her number with me here at work, but if you're interested, let me know and I can email you her number. It a business that she does on the side.
