Cost Of Invitations?????

Original post by WinterBride10

Could anyone tell me what the average cost of invitations are for everything together?

I am trying to work this into my budget and honestly I have no idea what 1 whole invitation cost.

Thank you!

Re: Cost Of Invitations?????

check invitationsbydawn.com to get an idea of various types and prices. my cousin got 100 invites there for about $225

i ended up getting mine at LI wedding boutique, a vendor on here. Christine was very helpful. i got 150 pocketfolds (simple ones, no fancy embellishments) incl. the pocketfold invite, response card and printed return envelope, reception card, and return address on the back flap of the outside envelope for just under $600 including shipping. no calligraphy or printing of recipient addresses was included - I'm doing this myself.

I would say average cost per invite is usually around $3-5 each from what I've seen. also be sure to think about the shape of the envelopes, since squares may cost you more to mail.

Mine were $570 for 175 invitations. This was for pocketfold invitations which included, invittaion, reception card, response cards with return address on return envelope, , double sided direction cards (which added quite a bit to the price!), colored printing on all items, lined inner envelopes and the return address printedon the back., proofs and shipping. Basiclaly everything except addressing the inner and outter envlopes.

I got my invitations on line through notjustinvitations, com -- they carry many of the major brands at a discount. Photos are in my album (although we ended up doing a different color ink which matched better)

It cost me an additional 135 dollars to have the inner and outter envleopes done in digital calilgraphy through inkspun.

Invitations can be gotten for less and for a lot more-- just depends on what you want and how much you want to spend. Annesbridalbargains.com , invitationsbydawn, com has and Party City have disocunt invitations. =) HTH

Re: Cost Of Invitations?????

i paid around $180 for 100 invitations (simply elegant, in cream), response set, inner envelope with liner, outer envelope with return address (plus 25 extra for mistakes) paying approx. $60 to have them addressed (69 invites actually going out)

i had found the perfect invitation on einvite.com then i read on the boards here where a bride found her invites through costco.com....einvite is affiliated with them....so i got the same invites i was planning on getting for 30% off!!! you don't even have to be a costco member! :)

hope that helps.....and btw...they look beautiful!! :)

holy crap, Fh is going to flip when we have to do invites I Know he will not want to spend that much and I will most likly pick the most expensive one- LOL

If you go to a invitation store they will ask you what your price point is. You can get very nice invites for about $350 for 100. If you stick with carlson craft or Birchwood you will find nice invitations that are affordable. I went with William Arthur which is costing about $1000 for 125 not including caligraphy. It was way more than I wanted to spend but FH has expensive taste!

Mine will be 450 not including shipping (which I hear is another 30-40 dollars) for 100 custom made pocketfolds with 4 inserts. But this price includes all guest addressing, return addressing, and RSVP envelope addressing. For what I'm getting, it's a very fair price.

Wow, great price! Where are you getting your invitations from? I want pocketfolds too.

You can get invites for like $2 each on David's Bridal website. They have a lot of nice inexpensive invitations.

my FSIL is making mine. she made her invites for her halloween wedding and they came out awesome!

I am going to search HIGH and LOW for the best price. I refuse to spend over $500 on invitations. We're inviting 350 people, so we're probably going to need b/t 200-250 invites. I will be bargain hunting.

We're paying about $1,000 for 90 invites. Including return and guest addressing. They're pocketfolds with 4 inserts, inner & outer envelopes, with a satin ribbon and rhinestone slide. For what we are getting I think we got a great price.

I worked with Handy Kane for our wedding, our cost came out to $1 per invite, extremely affordable. Our ceremony cards came out to an extra $60 so altogether we spent a little under $200 for 100 guests.

Here's their web link if you want to check out
