How much are you spending on your band? FH is going a little crazy cause the band I really want is close to $3000. Is that too much to be spending? I thought it was decent being that its platium and 3k.

we set a budget of $1500 for each of our bands. Mine came in around that and FH's came out to hundreds less.

The one i got quoted for is $1400, 1k and gold, so I think that's reasonable?!?! Going with the assumption that my quote was reasonable.....

$2000 for both... mine is a diamond eternity band with 1.75 tcw w 14k white gold. His is 14k white gold w brushed gold in the middle. Both from tri-county. HTH!

So does anyone have a platium e-ring but will be getting a white gold band? The one I want is also an eternity band so i figured you wouldnt even see the metal part of it. If i dont get platium the price drops by over $600.

Fh and I know we cannot get something Extremely expensive!!!
So we set up $1500 for BOTH rings... and we got our rings for UNDER the budget price... $1400

We set a budget of $2500 for both of our bands, but spend $2700 instead.
Mine was $2000 - 14K white gold, 2.96 carat eternity band.
His was $700 - 14K white gold with .5 carats throughout.
Wedding band is FOREVER. When are you gonna have another $3K laying around for it?!

i am, but i don't plan on wearing them together. my ering is platinum and my wedding band is white gold.

Be careful with platnum eternity bands. My friend has one and has lost a bunch of diamonds so they re-set it in white gold. It turns out one of our students' dads is a jeweler who re-set it and said that anytime doing an eternity band, he NEVER does platinum bc of how soft of a metal it is. He always recommends white gold.

agreed!!! but i wouldn't go crazy about the cost difference - seriously at the end of the day all you have left are your rings!!!! (and a photo album) - what's a few hundred more in the grand scheme of wedding costs.
i still agree that platinum is a poor choice for an eternity ring. why not try the white gold one and see how it looks next to your ring.
