Cost of Wedding bands

How much are you spending on your band? FH is going a little crazy cause the band I really want is close to $3000. Is that too much to be spending? I thought it was decent being that its platium and 3k.

$2000 for both... mine is a diamond eternity band with 1.75 tcw w 14k white gold. His is 14k white gold w brushed gold in the middle. Both from tri-county. HTH!

I really want an eternity band.... how much was your band?

We have a budget of 2k. FH wants a titanium ring since he wants to wear it during work and he uses his hands for hard work (I'm trying to convince him to get a titanium for work and a white gold for important occasions) and I wanna get an eternity white gold band. We're getting our bands through my sister since she has a jewelry business and she's gonna be giving a huge deal...thank goodness!

we spent about $1400 for both of ours. i originally wanted a different one and FH was willing to get it custom made but that would've driven us up to $3k and i felt bad. i was happy with what i ended up with so it's ok. if it's within your budget, go for it.

So does anyone have a platium e-ring but will be getting a white gold band? The one I want is also an eternity band so i figured you wouldnt even see the metal part of it. If i dont get platium the price drops by over $600.

My E-ring is platinum and I tried on a white gold band with diamonds that looked really nice with my ring style. Unfortunately the white gold and platinum were different colors. Not horribly apparent, but enough for me to notice that one looked a little dull next to the other. I don't want to spend $$$ on a platinum band. I'm gonna search for a white gold band that matches better. I have about 4 months though

I'm wearing my grandmother's wedding band so that didn't cost us anything, but we spent about $320 for FH's 14k solid white gold band...

I say if you have the money, go for it. You'll be wearing it for the rest of your life, so why not splurge a little

My ering is platinum and my wedding band is white gold and I cannot tell a difference...

crashing..... you cant tell the difference between white gold and platinum next to each other.... im in the business and see it all the time. i can tell the difference when i feel the weight behind the plat and w/g. the only time you will see a difference is when they start to wear at the bottom, white gold will turn a little yellow (w/g is naturally yellow) and plat will turn dull. when that happens you just polish and re-rhodium them.

as for the eternity band, i agree plat is soft. thats why is we have a plat e-ring we use a white gold head. its just safer!
