I'm just trying to get an idea of what the average cost of a bridesmaid's dress is.
The one I have picked out has a price tag of $280, but they were 'generous' enough (smell the sarcasm) to knock it down to $265 b/c I purchased my gown there.

My bridesmaid dresses were Watter & Watters. I got them for $147 on Bridalmarketplace.com.

I just went to bridalmarketplace.com and the quote I got there was $191.82.

Jenny, We ordered ours from Elmont Bridal. the dresses were originally 230 something, but because I had six girls they gave me 15% off the dresses.

all different costs-girls got differnt dresses-range was anywhere from $200-$275

The shop wanted $258 for the Jim Hjelm dresses. I think they were around $160 at netbride.com
$198 dessy...knocked down to $168 (dress and mess up by store - I ordered BM dresses and by the time the order was placed...the manufacturer didn't use the color I wanted)

I feel really bad about my girls paying over $200, but I guess it's not that uncommon.
