Cost of your centerpieces

Original post by aim325

What is everyone spending on their CPs? Please list what type(s) of flowers; high or low; any extras (e.g., votives).

we are probably going to make our own with glass bowls, candles, shells and starfish...its not in the budget for us to spend a lot of money on cp's and flowers. our diy's should cost about $20 each and will fit with our theme. i wouldn't say anyone who spends a lot on cp's or flowers in general is wasting their money, its all about budget and preference! shop around! ~lacey

Do you guys think $110 for a low CP of peonies is expensive? Part of that price includes 4 square votives. I know peonies are not in full season until April/May... so...

What do you think?

I am paying $38 per one for 3 dozen roses cluttered in a bowl! and getting 6 pillar candles different sizes for the table... 20 tables

I am paying $85-$95 for tall CP with roses and hydrangea. I think 3 dz roses and 8 hydrangea stems. They will look like this but no candles on top and less moss.

Re: Cost of your centerpieces

$110 seems insane for center pieces.
Mine are $45 including calla lilies, roses and hydrangia in a low fish bowl type base with votives around it.

I am a candle wholesaler and distributor in NY so I am getting the candles wholesale, but the flowers are still seeming very overpriced.

I hate when vendors charge an insane price for something just because its for a wedding.

I assure you if you ordered the same arrangement as just a gift it would be 1/2 the price. Never take your first offer if it leaves you wondering if its too high and makes you feel uncomfortable.
