What is everyone spending on their CPs? Please list what type(s) of flowers; high or low; any extras (e.g., votives).

Those are so pretty! The glow of the candlelight is going to look so amazing in the ballroom! Did you find somewhere to buy candles in bulk? I'm looking to buy a bunch for our new apartment.

actually.. the cheapest I have found are the three packs from target. They are like 4 something each. The cheapest I found online was 2 bucls per candle plus shipping.

Re: Cost of your centerpieces
I'm getting 15 tall centerpieces $80.00 each, long steam Calla lilies with blue delphiniums & bear grass with blue crystals and votives around each one. Something similar to these.
I think mine were about $210-225 each. Sorry - I don't remember all the flowers that were in them.

I feel the same way, I can't spend that much on flowers because they'll die and I need about 30 cps - I'm on the search to do my own too!!

does anyone else find it ridiculous to spend $100-$250 per centerpiece for something that is going to DIE in a few hours?
I can't believe how much some of you girls are spending. I am trying to make my own centerpieces with candles and petals and such for about $25-$30 a piece. Hopefully I can pull this off because I can't handle spending that much.
I totally agree. I think it's a waste of money. I just want a dozen roses and candles

Yes, it is alot of money, but it was in my budget and that's what I wanted. Flowers were important to me. People that took them home said they lasted over a week.
Just as you think I was crazy to spend as much as I did, I think it would have been crazy for me to spend $25-30 a piece.

i agree!! if it's in your budget and it's really important to you, i dont think it's a waste!
most people here are spending anywhere from 75pp-250pp for their reception hall, and where i'm from, people would find spending that amount of money ridiculous. it's all relative to your situation and your budget.

Re: Cost of your centerpieces
Well, I think it's crazy to spend a lot of money on a wedding in general, so I am doing the whole wedding for a reasonable price. A friend of mine is a florist and she is doing the bouquets and I am doing floating candles for the centerpeices with rose petals...I would say the cost maybe 15 per table.....But, for everything I looked around to find the best price, even my dress I got for 1/2 off because I bought it online. My FI talked about it, and we decided we would rather have a down payment on a house than a huge expensive wedding. Don't get me wrong, it's still gonna be a beautiful wedding, we are just not inviting a lot of people-about 100, so it's really up to you on what you want to spend on each thing/vendor....Hope that helps!

Re: Cost of your centerpieces
I went over budget on my reception hall and band....and am about to on photographer as well. So flowers is an area I need to seriously cut back on. I think they are gorgeous but I have been to approx 10 weddings a year for the past 5 years and honestly - I can't remember the flowers or CP's from one of them. I remember thinking that night how pretty the flowers were - but unfortunately people forget all about your flowers...they just remember if it was a fun wedding or not. So a good band and place were the most important to me. I have to cut back on flowers and plan to do so by having lots of candles.

Ours are about $60-65 for low CPs with about 2 dozen roses and some candles.
