Cost of your centerpieces

What is everyone spending on their CPs? Please list what type(s) of flowers; high or low; any extras (e.g., votives).

I think mine were about $210-225 each. Sorry - I don't remember all the flowers that were in them.

Im using Flower Michele check him out, very good guy John...

Before booking with John, I checked a few florists and got average prices of Approx $95+for High CPs. Did not check lows really but i would say from $50 and up.

Do you guys think $110 for a low CP of peonies is expensive? Part of that price includes 4 square votives. I know peonies are not in full season until April/May... so...

What do you think?

that sorta seems high for me for low...ask what the price would be if you provided the votives -- i'm sure theyre probably charging you like $30 for the candle part, and you could get them on your own and give them to them to set up for probably $30 total for all the tables...just a thought

This is a pic of what mine will look like and are $130 each. Willow branches, hydrangeas and orchids - but my florist is adding more orchids (they're twisted onto the branches).

Mine are going to be low and $65. Some flowers that will be included are roses (blush/lavender), blue hydrangea, blue delphiniums, and alot of other stuff I don't remember right now!

I think it depends in part on how many peonies you're getting per CP. A low CP could still be expensive if it's really full. Just one caution of using flowers that aren't in full season - the ones you get might not be as full as when they are in full season, so you may end up needing more flowers to fill out your CP when you're already paying more for them because it isn't April/May yet.

I really wanted peonies but it wasn't going to happen for me in July, so I went with hydrangeas and roses instead. These were around $350 for the main CP and the little ones around the base.

ETA: I think there were 6 or 7 dozen roses and around 16 hydrangea stems in each.

Im getting high cps with 3 dozen roses, 1 dozen lillys with rose petals and candles on the table. Price is $115, does not include candles.

we are doing floating candles with rose petals and votives, so it is sooo cheap!

I'm spending about $125 for my high centerpieces- calla lilies in a tall fluted vase with crystals and a light.

does anyone else find it ridiculous to spend $100-$250 per centerpiece for something that is going to DIE in a few hours?

I can't believe how much some of you girls are spending. I am trying to make my own centerpieces with candles and petals and such for about $25-$30 a piece. Hopefully I can pull this off because I can't handle spending that much.

I've been quoted $65 to $125 for a CP similar to this one. The price has varied according to the flowers.

I felt the same when I first started thinking about flowers, but then I realized how much they transformed the look of a room and they became a big priority for me. Everyone has their list of wedding 'must haves' and lots of flowers was definitely it for me.

A really great option for getting extended use out of CPs rather than spending all that money for one day is to donate them to local hospitals. During the Cake Walk at Grand Central, there was a woman's group there that would come to your reception hall, pick up the flowers, and bring them to patients at local hospitals. I thought this was a really fantastic idea
