Costa Rica....

Has anyone ever been there? Any advice on where to go, what to do, where to stay? We are going to a travel agent to book our honeymoon next week.

Any help would be great, thanks!

Re: Costa Rica....

I went there last may. Its beautiful. We booked all on our own - stayed mostly on the pacific side - I think the Caribbean side might be a bit rougher.

Just note - its slightly difficult to get around because the infestructure isn't that developed. We rented a car... but there were literally no road signs, so we stopped the car and asked every person we saw. But we ended up driving through the Cloud Forest which was amazing. The rainforests are beautiful and there are live volcanoes. We stayed in Manuel Antonio. A beautiful city - with all hill top hotels. Also a bit hard to get around Manuel Antonio by bus, but if you are adventurous - go for it.

We almost booked our HM in Costa Rica but heard about the horrible road conditions. Still, the country seems to have so much to offer! Check out tripadsvisor.com for feedback too.

I'm going to a few different areas of the CR for HM in June. A family member lived and taught in the Monteverde area for about 3 years and loves the country. FM if you have any specific questions.

Re: Costa Rica....

We went there back in November

We loved it we went to Aranal, Monteverde, and Tamarindo. It was all amazing. Everyone is so nice and everything was so cheap. In aranal you must stay at the Aranel Lodge. That is where they have the great spas and the pools that is heated from the Volcano. Montverde is in the rain forest and is usually overcast and rainy. Tamarindo is on the beach wich is great as well

I'm sure you will have a great time.

FM me if you have any questions.
