Oh boyohboy! I think I found my dress today. But maybe I'm just caught up in the moment...
See, there was no way I was looking for a ball gown. I'm short, and so is fi. And then I found this. (See pic below.)
I tried it on and loved it. I'd get rid of the cap sleeves and do spaghetti straps instead. No problem. Then reality set in: could I dance with fi in it? Could anyone get within 5 feet of me? Would I look like a giant bell?
The lady at the shop said they could take out the top layer of crinoline, which will make it a bit less, um, BIG, but not a whole lot of difference. So... opinions, please! (P.S. It's a Moonlight, and not expensive.)
i think it is beautiful and if it makes you feel wonderful then it is the one - trust me you will figure out a way to dance and i dont think it looks like a bell not like the hooped ones anyways

My dress has the same kind of ballgoen skirt. If you love it then go with it. I love my dress, and if people can't get within 5 feet of me they will just have to shout.lol....i love my dress and I am defintely going to enjoy wearing it. You should defintely pick it if you like it. Go with your gut

I think it's a beautiful dress! But I would definitely keep the cap sleeves. They are gorgeous!

I think it's beautiful! If they take out the extra layer of crinoline then you should definitely be fine! Go for it!

I think it is beautiful! One layer of crinolin? makes a difference too. I also like the cap sleeves!

I think it's beautiful and I would leave it as is. Don't worry about being able to dance or looking like a 'bell'. If you love it go for it! I'm short and I'm looking for ball gown, and that dress definitely looks light enough to dance in.

it's soo pretty! i love the cap sleeves too, but if they make you uncomfortable, definitely change them. my friend got a dress and hated the puffiness of it, so the lady at the shop is removing all of the crinoline so it lays flat. i say get rid of it if you don't like it puffy - it's your dress, your day, do what you want

I love the dress the way that it is. I am fairly short and I have a ball gown- when else do you get to wear one!

It is beautiful and like everyone else, I think you should keep the cap sleeves (I have them on mine and I love them)

I love it!! It's such a beautiful dress!! I really like the cap sleeves! Don't worry aboutbeing short, my friend was average height but her husband is short and her dress was HUGE--all tooling, but it looked beautiful, not weird @ all!
