I put pictures of me in gowns into my albums. My Album These are gowns that either I loved, my MOH loves, or my Mother loves. Please tell me what you think, and be honest. Everyone just keeps telling me they love them all but I know they don't all look great on me. I do not have a picture of the other gown i love because no one will let me take photos in it!
After seeing my body type... any suggestions for other gowns or designers to look at? I'm very top heavy DDD but i am much smaller everywhere else. I'm not skinny by any definition so mermaid styles are probobly out.

ETA: This is the dress i am in love with. It's totally differant from all the others. It's exactly what i always pictured when i was little. I saw the dress online and cried. I have ripped out every picture i've found of it in mags. I have tried it on. I love it. but my mom and my moh kind of went 'EH' to it. they werent impressed.
do you think the dress that looks best is how you should go or the dress you like the best?

I think you should go with the dress you love...you are going to WOW everyone no matter what you wear. I had a similar issue with my dress, my mother didnt like, she wanted me to wear a strapless, but i didnt want that. i fell in love with this dress and her and my friends were all like 'eh' - but i loved it and i thought i lit up when i put it on...so i got it! i did have hestitation afterwards, kept thinking maybe i should have listened to them, but whatever, I'm so excited for it to come in, i dont even care what anyone else thinks. I love it and cant wait to wear it, and that's how you should feel about your dress. you will be wearing it all day and what you wear needs to make you feel like a bride, if that dress is it for YOU, not for anyone else, I say go for it!
PS. I also think the sleeves are beautiful!

They're all pretty dresses! Number 2 looks gorgeous on you - I love the bodice, it really gives you an hourglass shape, and the neckline is very flattering. I would love to see a pic of you in the long sleeved dress - it seems as though that is the one you really are in love with. Just remember that no matter what anyone else's opinion is, you are the one wearing it and when you feel good in something it shows! Good luck!

As much as I hate DB and the CS is in the gutter, the one GOOD thing about them is they are quick. They literally told me I wouldn't have to order a dress there until November. My wedding is only a week from yours so don't worry too much.
I hate shopping but i'll go with you!!!
awww you are the sweetest! no one wants to go with me! i mean, they say they do but then they are never available. they don't understand that dress shops are only open till like 5 or 6

I can only find one store that carries the sample, they wont let us take photos and we tried to sneak a few and it didnt work out well.
I really wish i could find the sample somewhere other than Estelle's

i really love number 2 on you and i think it is very flattering to your figure. you look gorgeous in all of them though, but 2 in your album is def. my fave on you. regarding your question about which dress you should get. i dont think you should get a dress just b/c you like the dress. i think it should be a combination of really liking the dress, and likeing the way it looks on. i had this problem in the beginning when i bought my original dress (that i am now selling). i think i loved the dress soooo much, that i kept going back to it, but there was something about it that i didnt like on me when i wore it (i kept wanting the change little things about it). so that was what made me realize that it wasnt right for me. good luck! i know this dress picking thing is not easy.

I'm partial to the one in your album with the purple sash (that's really pretty but minus the sash on that one) and I like the one that you posted (the sleeves really catch my eye on that gown).
What about looking at Maggie gowns? Or Alfred Angleo?

I hope you don't mind an '07 crashing with more opinions too . . . but I've attached a couple samples that I think try to combine the best features of the dresses you picked.I think the dress where the waist dips lower is very flattering and gives the opposite effect of the sash of cutting you in half but the bottom as you say needs to be different. Dresses below have that type waist and very nice beading on skirt. First has short mesh sleeve which may be compromise to the long sleeves you like. I tried it on in Estelles in ivory. It was plus size so I don't know if you could get it small enough for you --(Bonny 1501) but you may want to think about that type stlye. the dresses are out there you might just need to look a little more. And I volunteer to go with you too if it isn't all the way out in Suffolk!! I'm free days too!
these are on bonny.com unforgettable collection. you may want to look at those to get more ideas?? maybe you could just have FH look at the site and ask in general what styles does he think are good but that it's not the actual dress you'd be getting just the style - - ask him to pick say 3 so he wouldn't really know what he'd seen on your day?? this looks nice too again with the dipped waist bonny (1518) very nice corset back too but I'm at max size I think

All of the dresses you have posted are beautiful. The one I liked best on you was the lace dress. It looks stunning on you!!! I also really like the dress you added on this post. No matter which dress you choose I know you will look beautiful and wow everyone on your special day!!!
