Could really use some advice girls..venting

Ok girls I could really use your help on this one. Im getting married in almost 3 months and lately Ive been feeling really aggrevated with everything. Like many of you im sure, from the beggining of our engagement we have dealt with peoplenegetive oponions, about what we should do and how we should do it, and have been brushing it off, and trying to ignore it. But lately I think I just cant take it anymore, someone will say something, and I just let it get to me so much I freak. I guess its just been building and it could be something small that someone says and I just get aggrevated, Ive also been crying at the drop of a hat, I feel like a psycho. I talked to FH about and hes just like relax. This is me : how can I fking relax when I have a millian things to do and no time to rest' LOL. I know i should just let it go and not let these things or people get to me this way, but when I have a millian things to do and am stessed as it is i dont know how to brush it off anymore Has this been happening to anyone else or do I need to check myself into the loony bin???

I know it's going to be hard, but you really need to take a deep breath and try to take a step back from the wedding planning process.

It's possible to plan a wedding in 3 months. In fact, it's possible to plan a wedding in a much shorter time than that. Start from there. You're way ahead of the game with all you have done so far.

I think it could help if you stop taking advice about things from anyone. Take a week or even two to NOT plan your wedding AT ALL. You have the time to do that at this point. Go about your life without wondering if X would look good in your hair or if X person has to be put at a different table than other X person.

Sometimes time is a blessing and sometimes it's a curse. Try to be confident that even if you did nothing else, your wedding would be a magical day that would go off without a hitch.

It can get frustrating when everyone has an opinion about your wedding but the best thing you can do is remain confident in the choices you have made and know you will continue to make good choices.

It's easy to get super emotional when there is stress in your life. That's completely normal. Try to steady yourself and fight against sweating the small stuff. Everything will work out in the end!!

yes! me. i'm really stressed out. i took a mental health day today to do some wedding stuff. last weekend i wrote a list of things i needed to do and got all stressed out. taking today off helped a lot. i know it will all come together in the end, it's just a stressful time now.

I think you need a wedding planning hiatus. In late March/early April I had to step back and just stop with all wedding planning for a while. I took two weeks where I did absolutely NOTHING wedding related. It was hard to step back but it helped. Though I would suggest, as much as we would miss you, that if you take a week off planning, take a week off the boards, or you will still feel the planning stress.

It must be the 3 month thing because I was just going through this., I totally just lost it. Getting out the invites and lists of names and people adding their 2 cents when you don't want or need it. I was so emotional and couldn't keep 2 thoughts in my mind. My FH told me to relax too and it made me feel like he didn't appreciate all the work I was doing and the stress I was under. The bottom line was he wanted to help and didn't know how. We had a conversation about what he could do to help me and for the most part has been really great. As for everyone else, try to talking to someone positive in your life. My MOH has been amazing and helped me go through the motions. You will be OK, keep your eye on the prize and when people give there 2 cents, smile, nod and punch a pillow when you get home or scream in your car or even better ignore them as hard as it may be!

Omg thats exactly how I feel. I appreciate everyone on here saying to take a step back, but I dont feel like i can. The time to take a step back has passed, I have to much going on, FH moved in to an apartment in april, just had my shower so things have been crazy and i have to get my invites out in like 2 weeks, FH has said he would help if I need it, and I know he wants to but I have a problem I try to take everything on my self, and now im feeling overwelmed. Plus Im trying to do as much as i can now so its less for the weeks coming up to it and I def do wanna punch my pillow, a wall, a family member something lol

I am with you on that! Taking a step back at this point is like stopping in the middle of a marathon. I am OCD so I feel like if I don't do it myself it won't get done or get done right. But, I found little things for FH to do and it has helped. You will be OK and as far as I am concerned it is normal but don't get yourself sick over it. It all gets done!

Dont worry I totally know how you feel. Im a month away and Im starting to burn out emotionally. There are just days I cant take it. I want to scream at the top of my lungs and Im just ANGRY with people. And yes EVERYONE has an opinion and after a while YES that gets SOOO annoying I TOTALLY agree. At first I was always gracious but sometimes I want to be like NOOOOO HELLO MY WEDDING NOT YOURS! LOL Just starting to run short on patience at this point.

i'm at my 4 months to go mark and i feel exactly the same way, but in addition to wedding planning I have a couple of other things contributing to the stress, so lately i have been really emotional. My fh is really great and tries to help me with anything, but i just get so overwhelmed with all the things that still need to be done. I just don't feel like dealing with it anymore.

I am less than 30 days away now and I started getting the same way. I have been planning the entire NY wedding from Tampa besides (flying back and forth, etc.)

The best advice I've gotten over the past few months is to remember what REALLY will matter on that day. You and your man will be getting married.

I was a super control freak about every detail up until recently, and now I've finally started to hand things off to other people. I'm like - will anyone really care about the way the menu looks?

Of course, we all want the wedding to go exactly as we plan. The key is to realize that even if everything is not perfect, you will still have an amazing day. Besides, the things that go wrong are sometimes the best memories!

Hang in there! It does get less stressful!

I completely understand. Its very stressful. I agree with the other postings. Take a few weeks off without planning. You may just need a break. I know its hard to ignore people's comments especially from those who are not paying for the wedding! My friend who got married 2 years ago gave me good advice - everyone will have an opinion regarding your wedding and you can't please everyone it's your day not there's. So I try to think about this when people say things.

Good luck with the rest of your planning. I hope things get better.
