couple Bridal Party questions

1. for church ceremony do you just have your BP paired up based on size order?

2. if there are couples in you BP do you put them together even if it breaks the size order thing?

3. do you have the bridal party dance with their BP partner or their date?

ok great! I wasnt into the size order thing! And with the dance what if people in BP dont have dates?? I have 4 single GM's and only 1 single BM. So then what?? Maybe I will just do BP!! otherwise 3 GM's cant do the 1st dance!!

1,i think its really up to you, i kinda tried to do it by size and who i wanted closier to me


2, i split up the couple bc i kept hearing people tell me that if there is a couple in your wedding they should walk together, especially if there getting married, something about bad luck, not really sure, but i just did it that was so i didnt have to hear anyone complain

But I'm weird, my mother wore Grinch gloves walking into the reception... and my MOH wore a superman cape and rode on the back of the best man into the reception..

In your case I would do the BP only then...

I am so confused b/c originally i wanted size order b/c i thought that was the way then i got complants that people would be split from their husbands so i figured i'd do all couples together and the rest just wing it and then the BP dance couples would be together and the restwould be with their BP partner!! I mean it's only 2 minutes!!

We kind of did it size order but it also sort of just worked out that way....the one thing I did do size order was pairing the couples somewhat sizewise, b/c my MOH is 5'11' and SIL is 5'8', and the other 2 BMs are 5'2', and DH's Bro (BM) is 6'3', other friend is like 6'2', and the other GM and my bro are both like 5'9' and 5'10', so it just made sense to have the 2 taller with each other and the 2 shorter with each other....for everyone to feel comfortable. I know the taller girls were asking me can I wear heels or do I have a short guy! And my brother was asking me, am I' going to be the shortest guy there?? so that was why I did it that way.

For dancing, they danced with their partners when they joined on the first dance only, b/c they were all still on the dance floor from the entrance. Plus, not all had dates...

You can do it however you want to do it. Here's what we did

1. They weren't paired up based on sizes.
2. We didn;t have any couples.
3. We told them they didn't have to, but they did anyway- it was rather hilarious.

I put the girls in an order of whom I've known the longest. It just made it easier for me. Then we paired up the guys in a a similar way.

We have a basic size order, but we have a few couples so its not going to be perfect

we arent having one b/c they are usually the BP dancing with their partner. FH and I have had to do it in the past and its sooooo awkward and uncomfortable for thing when you ont know the person.

This is what I'm doing: we have 1 couple who happens to be the tallest guy and the 2nd shortest girl. We are keeping them toghether and pairing the rest by height.

For the 1st dance they can do whatever they want, but most likely they will dance with their partner for the 1st song- its usually just the bride and groom and their bridal party.

1. my girls walked down the isle single & then paired them up with whoever, I chose by who they'd get along with. I dont think size matters at all (but that's just me) Also, I did college friends, HS friends, SIL & MOH (it was sort of in how long I knew you order)

2. Don't break up the couples

3. Invite BP with dates or whoever they want. I had singles and they managed just fine. I wouldn't worry about things like that. For me personally I think it's awkward when you have BP dance with other BP people, b/c not all know one another.

1. We are pairing our BP based on a few things, but none of them is size. For example, I know I want FSIL & FBIL to go RIGHT before the kids, so that when they are sitting in the pew, FSIL is next to her 2 daughters, and FBIL is next to his son.

2. Yes, we are putting couples together (as above FSIL w/ her hubby).

3. We will probably have the BP dance w/ their partners for the first dance. I think they're all expecting that, anyway.

1. I'm pairing them up by height.

2. No current couples for us, but we do have one set of ex's. Should make for an interesting day. Hopefully they don't kill eachother.

3. I'm undecided about the bridal party dancing together, b/c most of my girls are single and I'm not sure if they will have dates at the wedding, and most of my FH's guys are married, and I think it's nice for them to dance with their wives. I'll have to figure that one out on paper.
