ok im stressing out a little bc im wondering whether or not to invite them. i work with a group of about 20 people - roughly 8-10 very closely. two of which i am extremely close with - like we hang out and talk outside of work. i absolutely would love to at least have these two at the wedding; however, if i invite them, i 'should' invite everyone else, no? including my boss right? we're trying to keep our list down in size as well and i dont want to have to invite the whole office. i also dont think it would be fair to the two of them if noone else is invited; and maybe they would be upset if they arent invited at all (esp since the wedding is mostly all i talk about anymore)...and i dont really want my boss there - for many different reasons... and to complicate things further, my boss has aleady told me to not invite anyone from work bc then i have to inivte everyone....solid point. at least i technically dont have to invite the boss. so whats the best way to approach this - invite no one, invite the two of them only, or invite everyone?

I am inviting only a handful of people from work and everyone understands. It's your wedding and you only invite the people you care about. Invite the two people you are close with.
This! I am only inviting 3 of my closest girlfriends from work that I've been friends with for 5 years.

Re: coworkers...to invite or not
My co-worker and I are getting married within a month of each other. We've both discussed this issue many times and concluded that we would only invite the people we are closest to. For me, that's only 4 people (8 including their guest).
Even if I was made of money, I would still only invite the people I care about the most. The most important part of your day is to be surounded by those who love you, not ones who you invite out of obligation. My opinion atleast :p
I also wanted to say that if they really want to be part of your day, but you cant see them coming to your reception, you could always invite them to the ceremony.
