Cpst of wedding dress

What is everyone budgeting for their wedding dress? Hate to spend over 5k for one day...My brother said I was being cheap!!!

I was thinking more like 2000-2500 OR even cheaper!!!

I feel the same way. I send $1,000.00 including alterations, and I love the dress

Your dress is gorgeous !!!

I paid $800 for my dress not including alterations - that's next on my to do list.

mine was $2500. I had it custom made....just for me. My veils were under $200, and my feather cape for outdoor photos was $250.

whoa...thats a lot of $$$. Well I got my dress at Davids Bridal for $99...I got it during their sale..and I am sooo in love with it!

1500 is my budget for all things bride...veil, tiara, dress...and I am under budget
If you can spend the money and you love it why not? If I could I would!

Mine was like 1150.00 with the veil. I still need to pay for alterations, undergarments, shoes and jewelry.


I think 2500.00 isn't bad if you can afford it. If you can budget it, why not!

A friend of mine spent over 5,000 on her dress and she went for broke. I could not understand why she did that. She went broke to pay for a dress wore once. She is probably still paying for it.

You do what you can afford and if it makes you happy, go for it!


Don't listen to what family and friends say either. It's your choice, I have had some of Fi's family members think we are being too extravagant on things and it makes me so mad!

We are doing things nice, but not going over the top at all. We can't afford to.

Mine was $1500 before alterations which includes adding a strap.

my# 1 pick was just over $1000 and i was so content...i take my noisy self to klienfields 'im jus gonna try some on have some fun' and fall in love with #2 $2700...in the store i was conviced im getting this dress, by the next day reality hit and i dont wanna spend that much on a dress
