Re: Credit Cards with GOOD 'Point' Systems/Deals?
i used AMEX for my delta skymilesand sears mastercard...it used to be 1% would go to a GC to sears...
but now they have rewards for other stores...
so I got a Sears GC and barnesand noble this year
I just got rid of my discover - b/c the cash back is crap...you can only get back increments of $20...so you have to charge increments of $2000!!! just to get $20...not worth it...IMHO

Re: Credit Cards with GOOD 'Point' Systems/Deals?
if you go to the aa website find the mileage maximizer. there's lots of ways to get miles, including paying your taxes with your card! our favorite is using www.idine.com - it has tons of restaurants and if you eat at any of them you get 10 miles for every dollar you spend there, including tip. when we go eat, we only eat idine and it really adds up!

We have Amex Blue. With the points you can get gift certificates to stores or you can use them to buy stuff from them. If you charge alot it's worth it. I just cashed in for $500 for BRU.

The GM card. 5% goes towards your next lease or buy of any GM car or truck (excluding Saab and Hummer).

Erica, your totally right, I forgot Saturn was not included ether. I saved more than $1500 off my lease, and when it's up, I will have about the same amount to apply again to my next lease of buy!

At&t universal card has a whole store you can shop in online to redeem your points. You can get certificates to stores, restaurants, lower APR, whatever you want.

Re: Credit Cards with GOOD 'Point' Systems/Deals?
I vote for the American Express Blue card. No annual fee. The ratios are good too.2500 points = $25. Gift Cert to your choice: Home Depot, Barnes and Noble, Kids R Us, Toys R Us etc
5000 points = $50. Gift Cert to your choice: Home Depot, Barnes and Noble, Kids R Us, Toys R Us, Brooks Brothers etc.
IALWAYS need Home Depot certificates!

Re: Credit Cards with GOOD 'Point' Systems/Deals?
I like Discover because I charge everything I can, even the cable bill, and it adds up. The other good thing about them is that you can double you bonus with some companies. For example, if you have a $40 bonus you can get a $80 gift certificate to Royal Caribbean, Carnival, etc. Bed Bath and Beyond is on there too.I think it's the best deal-if you charge a lot.
