As long as it's not a construction zone I'm ok with whatever!! I would love the lighting to be done though...save $$$ with the DJ

So I spoke to Sharon, my bridal manager. She said they just finished building the new room. They are also redoing the pool area, that is starting next week. They will be starting to change carpets and install LED lights in the rooms. All of the renovations for the outside will be completed by summer and she is not sure yet about the renovations on the rooms, but she told me to call back in a month to find out what the status is.
I'm getting married this Sept, and I see most of you girls are 2011, so everything should be done by your weddings!!
Reading this just got me very worried since I am getting married at CHCC this summer. But I just called and they said that the renovations should definitely be done by my wedding. Four months to go!

Im so nervous now about the pool area being done. My cocktail hour is by the pool and my wedding is 4.30. I also just spoke with helen and nothing was said about this. Pls keep me informed if anyone hears anything. Im calling them tomorrow

I had herd from my photographer that CH was having some renovations in one of the downstairs cocktail rooms ( not the emerald Room ) and it was going to be a place to take pictures incase there was bad weather , and it was going to be like all glass so you get natural light.
that sounds awesome!!!
did anyone hear about them putting in a fire place in the Lobby?? I would absolutely loooove that for pictures in the winter!!

My BM told me yesterday that the pool area is just about done ! as for the other renovations he said nothing is set in stone yet for the kinetic lighting in the rooms its just talk right now.

If they are doing all these renovations WHY in gods name wont they change the chairs!!! I know some people like them, and I WISH I was one of those people :o( I am looking into renting chivari chairs because I just cant deal ... i am a stickler for details and this is the one thing that i really cant handle. If anyone has any experience with this let me know cuz im shopping around like crazy! I am in emerald room, BM is Marc... if they are changing carpets, thats awesome... im not a fan of that either... little nervous about this marble dance floor talk... im not into gaudy looking... ughhhh! Im stressed now!:

i agree about the chairs...they are just not my style. Plus they are red...there will not be a drop of red in my centerpieces. I was able to have them throw in the chair covers but I believe she told me they were $3 per person to rent them through CHCC...i dont think that is terribly expensive so maybe look into that
I'm getting married there on 4/10! We may do the pool side cocktail hour but only if it's at least 80 degrees out that day..so in other words, our cocktail hr will be indoors..haha
I went there 2 weeks ago and they are redoing the ground by the pool but it's almost all done. They do it so that it doesn't interfere with weddings. As far as the chairs, I didn't do chair covers. At this point, I'm sick of paying for stuff and spending almost $1000 on chair covers just seemed silly to me. My centerpieces have white, yellow and red in them so they match the decor.

UGGGGG my BM told me itll be 500 at least to do chair covers. Im not even a fan of chair covers, but I might just do them. Im having a fall wedding, but am using all browns/bronzie colors and the red totally clashes
