Hey ladies. I'm in the Plaza room for the reception. What room are you guys in? Also, if you're in the Plaza, where are you going to put your band/DJ and where are you going to seat your table with FH?

Hey! I'm also in the Plaza Room...i think the dj is going to be at the far end of the room by the mirrors and the sweetheart table in the center of the room across from the long windows. HTH yay another CHCC bride!!

i saw the plaza room tho. if i were to have had that room i would've sat with fh in front of the glass doors that lead outside to the pool area......

I am in the plaza room and wanted to have the sweetheart table by the mirrors and the dj opposite me but I was told the dj cant be there because the viennese gets set up on that end. So the dj will be by the mirrors and the sweetheart table will be in the center of the room across from the windows (same as sandybeaches). At least thats the plan now. Lets see what the room looks like after the renovations (unless that was just bs)...

I'm also in the Plaza room and plan to sit across from the windows leading out. I'm sure the smokers will want to wander in and out so I don't want to block their path.

Also, what renovations?

I had herd from my photographer that CH was having some renovations in one of the downstairs cocktail rooms ( not the emerald Room ) and it was going to be a place to take pictures incase there was bad weather , and it was going to be like all glass so you get natural light.

Really, do you know when its supposed to be done by? I can't wait to go this summer and see how they updated all the outside area.

I'm really peeved by this renovation discussion! I specifically asked my banquet manager if ANY renovations were planned in the near future and she said there was no way to know at this point. What a load of crap...

I was told they are doing something to some room downstairs (near the emerald room) but was unable to go see it because they were still working on it. they said it would be a room used for cocktail hour if necessary. They also said they were renovating all of the dance floors (making them marble). I asked about the carpeting and at first she said yes they were going to redo the carpet but then she said that eventually the carpet will be redone and she is not sure when. HTH. If anyone gets more info please keep us informed...ill do the same

Yeah let's definitely find out more. I would love if they redo the carpets (and chairs), HA HA. Let's keep this thread going as we learn more. Who is everyone's BM? Ours is Thomas.

My BM is Sharon. I booked in January and haven't been back there since, any updates that I've missed?

Also, anyone know if they'll save you the tax if you pay with cash? I heard Jericho Terrace does this.

Im with Sharon too. We just booked the first week in March (which is when we spoke about the renovations). I am frustrated that she told us both different things, but she did seem shady when we were about to sign...that is when she commented that the carpet would get done eventually but you never know how long these things take bla bla bla. We did get chair covers though because new chairs were not on the agenda (according to her).
I havent spoken to her either since I booked, but we did ask about paying with cash and unfortunately they wont do anything for cash

So I spoke to Sharon, my bridal manager. She said they just finished building the new room. They are also redoing the pool area, that is starting next week. They will be starting to change carpets and install LED lights in the rooms. All of the renovations for the outside will be completed by summer and she is not sure yet about the renovations on the rooms, but she told me to call back in a month to find out what the status is.

I'm getting married this Sept, and I see most of you girls are 2011, so everything should be done by your weddings!!
