I always assume since im such a stickler for details, everyone else is too. Truth is, I know it will bother me....if it was someone elses wedding, though, i probably wouldnt think twice about it.... im such a hypocrite!! ahhhhh

I'm getting married there on 4/10! We may do the pool side cocktail hour but only if it's at least 80 degrees out that day..so in other words, our cocktail hr will be indoors..haha

I went there 2 weeks ago and they are redoing the ground by the pool but it's almost all done. They do it so that it doesn't interfere with weddings. As far as the chairs, I didn't do chair covers. At this point, I'm sick of paying for stuff and spending almost $1000 on chair covers just seemed silly to me. My centerpieces have white, yellow and red in them so they match the decor.

Hey girls!

I just visited CHCC last weekend and we booked the Empire Room (I think...half of the grand ballroom upstairs). The place is looking great though! The work by the pool is finished, the room downstairs with the marble floor is finished, and the fireplace in the lobby is finished. I guess they work fast, I didnt realize all of that is new!

Any word on the marble floors?? They didnt mention anything about changing out the dance floors and that actually would have bothered me...I like the large wood floor. New carpets would be wonderful though.

I'm in the plaza too! I haven't thought about where to put to DJ yet though? I guess I'll have to go back and check it out again! Absolutely LOVE the room though!!

I went to Crest Hollow on Sun to check out all the new stuff. The fireplace is really nice and the outdoor area seems a lot bigger with the new brickwork. They also added 2 gazebos and 2 waterfalls - looks very nice. They are very non committal about when other renovations will be done.

Ok cool. I went to a Bat Mitzvah @ a temple and they had chair covers. I had to say, it looked beautiful and that was the 1st thing I noticed when I went into the room. Sooo, I'm leaning more towards chair covers now..

that is soo awesome they put in a fireplace!!! we're having a winter wedding and that was somehting i always wanted photos in front of! yay!! glad the outside is nice too!!

Has anyone looked at the bridal suites? I was told that they were all the same size, but I was reading through some posts by past brides, and someone had said that she was in the biggest bridal suite.

The bridal suites aren't all the same size - there is one that is like a 10x10 room and then there is one that is probably 3x the size of it. Those were the only two i got to see.

I made a big stink about it b/c my BP is 22 people so I told my BM i absolutely needed the largest bridal suite - so she wrote it into the contract.

I'm going to CHCC on Sunday to choose my menu! So excited since I haven't been there since last summer and haven't seen any of the renovations.

I'm still undecided about the chair covers though. I may be upgrading the bar so not sure if I want to do both.

my sister got married at CHCC 5 years ago... and there were over 20 in the bp and the bridal suite we had was perfect...

I think it's on the main floor and it is the first room on the left.

I'm going to a dinner on May 20th there for the 50 Most Influential Women on Long Island so I'll definitely have a big report!

hey - i am getting married in the Starlight Room - Sept 4, 2011.
I stopped by CH on saturday because i was in the area...many things that my BM said were not what i'd call correct.
I am going back this saturday with my parents and going to iron things out...things will be perfect for all of our weddings but additional stress is unnecessary.

So if you want to vent or compare notes - i'm here!

My BM told me that there are like 3 connecting suites and he can open them all up so that everyone has enough room.
