Have any of you seen the choices for cakes? I've read on previous posts that you have to pay extra for certain cakes. Does anyone know anything about that or have pictures of their cake from a Crest Hollow wedding?
Thanks.

I am not sure but I would like to know that too. I think you can pay more to get a different one. Also your florist can decorate it if you want.

I am not too sure either, but I have an appointment tonight with my BM, so I will ask him!

There is only one cake that is included from what I understand. The rest you have to pay extra for...

Re: Crest Hollow Brides
They were a little misleading when I booked. I was told that the cake was 'included' and there was a book to choose from. I can see if you brought in a picture of a specific cake that they might charge more, but they should give you more than one option. Just tack on more to the bill....what else is new?

That's exactly what I was told, until I heard differently. I guess they choose their words wisely huh?
But the cake that is included is very pretty actually. A bride on here used it..I'll try and find the pics to bump up. Looks great decorated with flowers.

Re: Crest Hollow Brides
I have my contract here and I just looked it at. It says 'speciality cake' included. I will clarify that tonight, although, the contract is already signed. I wonder if there is any way to make some changes on the contract. I will find out tonight.

Did any of you block rooms at hotels for the night of your wedding for out of town guests? I was thinking of looking at a few hotels tonight.

Re: Crest Hollow Brides
We blocked the Best Western Woodbury..it's right down the road.
We also blocked a few at the Huntington Hilton.
If you are going to do it....do it asap..they are running out of rooms!

Re: Crest Hollow Brides
Well my wedding is in November. I was thinking about the Hilton. I also want to look for something for me and FH.

Re: Crest Hollow Brides
The Hilton was a little pricey...that's why I went for the Best Western also. It's supposed to be nice.
FH and I are staying in the city at the Essex House. But, if we were going to stay on Long Island, we would have done the Garden City Hotel. Soooooo nice!
Edited to add, I'm retarded...I didn't realize it wasn't until November!

Re: Crest Hollow Brides
We're staying at the Inn at Fox Hollow as well as some of our guests. We've put a block of rooms on hold already for November. We're looking for another option that's not as pricey. The Hilton is a little further than I wanted people to go- any other suggestions for nice, reasonable hotels?

Re: Crest Hollow Brides
Definitely the Best Western. They were great to deal with and they are very close by. The rooms are nice, and breakfast is included with your rate.

Re: Crest Hollow Brides
We blocked rooms and are staying at the Inn at Fox Hollow. We also are having a shuttle van make trips back and forth from the hotel to the Crest Hollow before and after the wedding. (The whole van thing is costing us $300, for one hour before and one hour after, including tip).

Re: Crest Hollow Brides
I found the thread that shows pictures of the two cakes (tiered or stacked) that are supposedly included, but I don't know how to post them.
They look like nice cakes. And, I am going to have my florist decorate it with flowers.
The thread was posted on the Newlywed Board titled Past Crest Hollow Brides.

I couldn't find it! If you can, copy the link..and paste it here.
Hey, do you ladies think the florist could stuff the tiers of that first one with flowers? That's how they do those layer cake, layer flowers cakes right?
