I just booked Crest Hollow for 9-5-10. There is no thread on here for Crest Hollow brides so I thought I would start one!!
We will be havinh our cocktail party outside and reception in the Starlight room. Our ceremony is in Cure of Ars church in Merrick.

Thanks for the info! I figured they should be enough. That saves me from having to pay for a DOC.

Re: Crest Hollow Brides
I booked in January and my BM didn't mention anything about having to use the listed vendors. He stated that it was a recommendation and that the house vendors ate for free.
I emailed my BM to find out if this is a new rule change. However, my contract doesn't list any vendor restrictions, so I'm going by that.

As far as I know, if you use the recommended vendors, their meals are free! Out of house vendors are either 1/2 or 1/3 off to eat. (can't remember exactly)

I'm getting married in the Starlight room. Does anyone know if crest hollow allows rose petals to be thrown or bubbles?

Crest Hollow was AMAZING last night. Impeccable service to all guests. The bridal party, upon arrival, was immediately escorted to the bridal suite.
My sister and her husband were treated like royalty. They were attended to ALL night by the maitre'd and bridal attendant.
There was a mix-up about the shuttle home, and within 30 second the maitre'd Michael was oiutside and on the phone and taking care of it. He sorted the whole thing out within a few minutes.
So, you are all in good hands. I was so very impressed with everything last night.
My sister paid the florist extra money to decorate the cake with flowers. They didn't do it, so the staff took a rose or 2 from each centerpiece (they were so big you wouldn't even notice) and did it themselves.
Thanks for posting this!! :)
By any chance, do you have any pictures of her cake?? I'd love to see it (flowers or not). Also, what florist did she use? LOL

Re: Crest Hollow Brides
You know, my sis kept saying something about the vendor meals being included. Maybe because she used house vendors?
As for the cake, I attached a photo. That was included. I know there was a small mix-up with the cake. The lady at Crest Hollow that she had been dealing with told her the scroll design on the cake would be extra. It would have come out to a few hundred dollars more for it.
But when my sister got the groomsman cake from Dortoni's they said the scroll design was free.
So, maybe just a bit of caution about the cake pricing - if they tell you something is an upgrade it might be worth it to call Dortoni's directly to make sure.
One thing I forgot to metion. 5 people cancelled after they gave the final payment to Crest Hollow. They refunded the cost of those 5 people to my sister.
Then one of them wound up coming at the last minute. Like - walked up to my sister during the reception and was like 'surprise I made it'. The Maitre'D quickly set a place for them at a table. Not sure what happened payment wise after that.
The flowers were provided by Pristine Events in Queens - for those who wanted to know.
Apparently, the reason they didn't put the flowers on the cake was because Dortoni's put in a small flower design down the front in the icing. You can sort of see it if you look above the real flowers on the 2nd tier.
But my sis wanted real flowers and Michael took care of it immediately.
I posted a mini-review based on what I could remember http://www.liweddings.com/chat/topic.aspx?ID=613670
I agree about calling Dortoni's directly about pricing, I wanted a square cake instead of a round one, and they said it would be like $500 more
Ummmm...for what??

Well, the box is in my sister's freezer. I don't think it is a full 12'. Maybe 10'?
And not only did it look beautiful, it tasted AMAZING!!
Also, if any of you want Vienesse hour, it is SO not necessary. Not that it wouldn't be lovely, be I was so stuffed I only ate 1/2 my dinner. The vienesse table would have just gone to waste.
