Crest Hollow Brides

Hello All!!!

I just booked Crest Hollow for 9-5-10. There is no thread on here for Crest Hollow brides so I thought I would start one!!

We will be havinh our cocktail party outside and reception in the Starlight room. Our ceremony is in Cure of Ars church in Merrick.

Im having my reception at CHCC and my guests are staying at Melville Marriot too! How did that work out for them?

Hey all 2010 Brides! I am getting married at CHCC on 5/30/10! I am so excited ! I booked ceremony and cocktail outside and recept in the Emerald! Does anyone have any pics they can post or email me? I would love to see how beautiful the place really is!

Also! Can you give me some DJ's? maybe some price quotes? I am torn between some DJ's! And do you think an MC is needed?

Oh I almost forgot...... Invitation? Where would I find these? Online?

Hey girls-
Can I ask who you're BM is at CH and if you like them? Please FM me if you feel uncomfortable--I have mentioned this in another post--and I am kinda unhappy with mine, I was considering switching, but with such little time I don't know if I should just stick with it? I am really not a high maintenance person, and really haven't called them much--but every time I call I feel like I am being treated like a I am a nuisance.
Any advice?

My FH and I found that when we e-mail our BM we get a much quicker response. We have had semi-bad experiences with the people who answer the phone there... they sometimes make it seem like we are bothering them. Once we starting e-mailing our BM we got very quick responses!

Just looking for some rehearsal dinner advice:

We are having our ceremony outside at the Crest Hollow and so there is not a rehearsal the day before. BM told us that on the day of there will be a quick run through of the ceremony at the beginning of the day. That being said, do you think it is necessary for us to still have the traditional rehearsal dinner? We do have a lot of out of town guests, so maybe an informal dinner would be appropriate?
What do you think?

We are getting married at Crest Hollow 8-1-10! We are also booked in the Plaza room and having the ceremony outside. They didn't tell us the CH room yet. I also liked the windows and the balcony in the Plaza room. My FH and I immediately liked that room better than the Starlight, and we brought my mom back and she agreed. Which is the Emerald room? They only showed us the starlight, the plaza, and the grand ballroom.

my BM is thomas and i found him to be great. I am also booked in the Plaza room. I originally said starlight becauce my first time there the plaza room wasnt set up properly for me to visualize it. but when i went back with my FH and my father it was set up and we went in to look at it with the tulle on the ceiling as well and we fell in love with it. its a really big room and i like that it has a big balcony with the outside tables and chairs and then the staircase to go down to the pool at night if guests wanna just relax and get some fresh air. I'm excited about the room unfortunately i am really slacking in the vendor department. all i have looked at is one DJ and i just set an appointment with ******** Photography for tomorrow i'm getting stressed that i am doing everything really slow. My wedding is in 1 year and 3 1/2 months do you girls think i should be getting a move on booking vendors? or do i still have some time? oh p.s. like all the other girls CH is outside lol
