Thats great....Are you getting a different cake or the same one they always do??? It is called dortoni right???

I am getting the one they offer with the package...it's round and about 4 tiers!!!! My florist is going to make it look amazing!! Because my colors are pink and brown...my cake is going to be chocolate fudge on the outside and the florist will decorate it with pink flowers!!!

I went to Dortoni's to pick out a cake and every cake was either $950 or believe it or not $1800...I guess I have expensive taste!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Re: Crest Hollow Brides

Sorry Girls I haven't been on in a little while..so a little late in the chain

I'm using Flowers by Brian--I worked with Stacey, and thought she was fantastic and really accomodating..the pieces are beautiful and I can't wait to see them.

As for the hotel, I called a few and don't remember any of them in the Woodbury, Jericho, Plainview area with a free shuttle. Most of them you have to pay I think--I remember the Four Points in Plainview offered a shuttle for 400 bucks.

I am blocking rooms with the Marriott Melville and getting a shuttle vann through Royalty Limos--very good deal!

Also for those of you with chair cover info, please FM price quotes!
Thanks girls!

wait...i am confused ...i'm not understanding this whole cake thing. lol...when it comes to order the cake, who do you go to? Who do you talk to for the cake that comes with the package? I'm sorry for being a pain!

Re: Crest Hollow Brides

It's my understand that when you choose the cake that comes with the package you don't go to anyone. You just give any requests to the BM. If you want to request something that will cost extra you are referred to the bakery.

Maybe call your BM and he can clarify for you

Re: Crest Hollow Brides

I e-mailed Eric from CHCC about a cake I was interested in upgrading to. He said cake upgrades are anywhere from $900-$1500. He was going to check with the person that orders that cakes and get back to me with an exact price. I think an extra $900 for a cake that is just a bit different is RIDICULOUS. It's crazy how much vendors make off of weddings!

i see....i had asked my BM awhile ago, and too be honest, he confused me cause I had heard different things.

Your right....if you take the cake that comes with the package you don't go to the bakery. CHCC gave me a choice of different kinds of cake and fillings and I had to pick what I wanted.

Re: Crest Hollow Brides

Hi everyone, my wedding is on may 31, 2009 at CHCC also. Starlight Room at Twilight hour for the reception, Outside Chapel Ceremony and Cocktail Hour in the Lower Terrace (?).

We booked w/ NYU Entertainment (Mike for MC) b/c they did a friend of a friend's wedding and my MOH raved about them. When I went in to see their work, I thought they were really good.

I got my dress and headpieces from the Wedding Plaza in Floral Park. They were able to match the price quote I got from another store for my dress (Pronovias).

We booked w/ Camelot for limo. Camelot and Royalty pretty much gave us the same quote but we were able to negotiate w/ Camelot for a little less.

I am still looking for chair covers and going to look into the place that was recommended in this thread -

DinaAndRob-can you send me the price quotes please for the chair covers?

Crest Hollow is charging us to use plain white chair covers.

Does anyone know how CHCC decorates the outside Chapel?

We also emailed and called our BM to set up an appt to go over the menu and to choose the cake, but she said they are only working on April weddings as of today and we will be sent a letter to set up an appt.

Thanks for the help! and good luck to everyone on the planning!
