Crest Hollow or Villa Lombardi's?

Hi girls! I need help...as a newcomer to the Boards (I just got engaged in April! ) I know from my FSIL that advice from everyone one the boards is 'priceless.' Here's my dilemma:

1. Villa Lombardi and Crest Hollow same price but food selection including cocktail hour selections are far better at VL.
2. Better pictures places and totally outdoor cocktail hour at CH~although VL has some nice ones and cocktail hour can be in and out.
3.BM at CH is almost unbearable...at VL a doll! The CH BM keepssaying we'll do well by you..then says the room determiniation isn't made until the week before the affair...but I'll put in a good word with operations...but I'm not sure I trust him...but I love the grounds...and I hear the food is good...
4.Travel time is better to CH.

I really fell in love with CH outside...and now I'm thiking if it rains...plus the beautiful VL cocktail hour...

I have to make decision soon...what do you think? Looking at wedding in September....

Thanks for your help...

VL would be my pick....as much as i love the huge lobby at CH the rooms just didnt WOW me. Also i dont like the rolling bars at CH...
oh yea also when i went to CH (since i was a winter bride) the pools obviously werent open so they were just soooo dirty and it was a huge turnoff!

Have you looked at Woodbury Country Club or Fox Hollow? I know they are relatively close to CH.

I would pick Villa's and not only because it's my RH. When I went to a wedding there I knew it was the perfect place!

Edit:
I like the fact that Villa's has enough seating for everyone at the cocktail hour and you have the option of the outside if you want to use it but will not be limited with seating if it can only be inside (due to weather). The spread at the CH is amazing at Villa's. The food all around is soooo good! The place itself is beautiful. SO many photo opts. Indoors and out. Staff is very nice and helpful

Same here -- just enjoyed the atmosphere, food and service better at Villa Lombardi's

I'm a CH bride, and so far so good. While I've never been to a wedding there, I've heard the food is really good. I've also been weddings at Villa Lombardi's that were very nice.
Who is your BM (if you can FM if you want)? If possible, ask for Sharon.
And I never heard that your room isn't determined until right before...cocktail hour room maybe, but not the reception room. Some rooms have different minimums so you have to book for a specific room for your party.

crest hollow of the two.. and talk to sharon.. she's the best! u can prob talk her to donw to 60 a person.. thats wat she quoted me. I also reccomend Westbury Manor ... very nice and the chef is THE BEST!!!... p.s check out Thatched Cottage on main street in centerport.. having mine there and it's AMAZINGGGG

I have never seen either hall.... that said, ooof! I would NEVER sign a contract w/o a specific room assignment! That's too much... you could sign the contract and end up in the basement or something....

oh yea p.s with Crest Hollow don't take the room in the front.. the ceiling is horrible. Go for the upstairs with the huge window to the pool or the upstairs with balcony to outside. I would consider other options, though.
