Crisis avoided

Getting married next week and we hit a major problem this week! In NJ that have a crazy rule that you need to have a witness present in order to sign your application. So we thought anyone could be a witness. Also there is a 72 hour wait period after you file. Well found out this week you need to bring a witness that personally knows you to the town hall. However, the town hall is only open from 9-4 during the week and people work. We don't know anyone in our town and all my family is in LI and FH's family is south jersey!!! So we freaked out because we did not have a witness!!!

Luckily my friends FH works from home drove to our town in rush hour traffic (which could take over a 1/2 hour to get to our house) to be our witness today on a days notice! We owe them a lot without them we would not be able to file our marriage application. All this stress and the whole application process took 5 minutes!

We were going to get my friend and her FI a nice bottle of wine. Does that sound okay? Or should we take them out to dinner?
