cross post - rehearsal dinner 'dates'

ok i totally dont think 'dates' should be invited to a rehearsal dinner - but i have read that some people do it - as it is we have a bridal party of 14 - and we are paying for it by ourselves again - if we invited 'dates' it would be for 40 people (about 25% of the people invited to the wedding - what are your thoughts? TIA

If it's going to bring your numbers up that high and you have to pay for it yourselves than I would say NO to dates. Don't stress urself out too much

I was wondering the same thing but since most of our BP's date will be coming from OOT, I think we will wind up inviting them to the RD. We're also having a larger RD. I think it will be nice to get to know them better before the big day, too.
